Will there be any updates to Nedava ?

I would think expanding to include Edwards AFB and China Lake would be awesome. I would open my wallet for that! -

Kandahar Airfield Unit/Squadron dispositions

The tractors, quads and green ANP trucks were used by the local AFG and Dyn Corp guys on the ground to eradicate the poppy crops under the DoS INL program. We, DynCorp contractors, being the DoS Airwing, were tasked with supporting the ambassador and embassy staff for whatever mission they asked for. We also had another mission of supporting the "cutters" on the ground with both gunship and medivac coverage when they were in the field. You could definitely tell who paid their bribes by how well the field was cut (or not). The pic of the smoking truck I took while we were escorting the cutters to another location. The bad guys waited till just the right time when both of our acft were out of place and took that truck, and another at the front, out with RPGs. Lucky for our guys and bad for them, was that those two trucks were not part of our convoy, they snuck in thinking that being with us would give them security. If you look close in the tall light green crops just to the left of the truck you can see where the bad guy ran. Saw some comments about carrier ops off Lake Kajiki in another post so I added a couple pics. Some of the most beautiful water I have ever seen... We went up that way alot! Cheers -

Here are a variety of pics from around the southern part of AFG. They are in no order, just attached them as I found them... Enjoy! Jolly- 22 replies

Kandahar Airfield Unit/Squadron dispositions

Hey Gambit, In the State Department INL we initially flew Huey II's out of the TLS hanger at Kandahar then moved down to our own compound on the SW side of the base. We used our MI-8's an AN-24 and our King Airs for logistics support flights and we also had a Mi-26 that would run cargo routes, till it flew into a mountain. My old unit was flying HH-60G's. Once the DoS compound was completed, we would also have some 160th visitors flying off our ramp. The Brits also flew Lynx, the Brit and US OGA's flew MI-8/17's After I left the contract the INL got H-60's. S-61's, H-46's and DC-3/BT-67's as well. The U.S. State Department Has Its Own Sprawling Air Force, Here's What's In Its Inventory (twz.com) US Uses a Private Helicopter Force to Get Around Kabul And Intel Woes Might Put It At Risk (twz.com) If you need pics let me know.
