  1. Just a thought but you could probably pick up a refurbished 15-19 inch LCD monitor for less than $100...or 100 Euros if you found one. I found some on Tigerdirect here in the USA that were good quality for 16" LCD for $65 if I remember correctly.
  2. They might be worth $1100 if you bought all of them for the scrap metal...not worth the money he is asking for those in single units.
  3. Apparently they are getting hammered by all the requests to download. The US FTP servers are pretty fast but still I only just got in for the setup and the first file. The other two files I had to get off the German FTP. As for a torrent....not on your life. I did that for a while and its about as reliable as asking a hooker to hold your wallet while you walk away.
  4. Check with SCSimulations and see if they have them in stock again now. I got some back in January and he had just gotten a shipment in. MicroCenter has some but are limited...meaning you need to call before buying. http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0330292 Headshot Custom PC's http://www.headshotcustom.com/Thrustmaster-MFD-Cougar-Pack-2960708.htm Alien Devices http://www.aliendevices.net/dbcl4784.html I would stay away from Audio Discounters like a bad dream regardless of how many they say are "in stock" when you add them to your cart.
  5. $10k USD for the one with bells and whistles....way to rich for my blood.
  6. Nice to know Geskes! I for one am WAY behind in my modern plane skill sets and am still relearning quite a bit and trying to get up to speed to figure out all the stuff that goes with it. :book:  :pilotfly: :joystick: Once I have some of that cartoon pilot learning down then I will give you guys a look. I don't like embarrassing myself when I am out on a shakedown run to see if I fit in with a group. It just isn't my style!
  7. Dang it that rules me out since I have to be spooned....wait a minute...errr...wrong forum! :joystick::pilotfly::music_whistling:
  8. Will have to try this again later today...for now I gotta make some cash to pay the mortgage this month.
  9. Yeah I don't doubt that and I don't want to hijack the thread with a discussion about Helios BUT in my WW2 sims I really don't want or need another set of software programs running in the background when a quick velcro or sticky back label overlay would do the trick with the what simple controls I am personally looking for. Not to mention it would keep my costs out of pocket down to stay away from another monitor for whatever reason...just saying that a cheap overlay is a heck of a lot cheaper than a 20" LCD and mounts.
  10. Yeah I don't have a problem with the AOA my problem is with the speed and a little...well a LOT more wobble and waggle in the wings when I am coming in and probably more speed than I should have. As for a track...yeahhhhh I haven't quite gotten the guts to film what I am actually doing since this is my first foray back into modern aircraft after A LONG time flying prop cartoon planes in Aces High. Those puppies are a lot more forgiving when you go slamming into a carrier deck in an FSO trying to defend the carrier from the incoming bad guys.
  11. That is about what I expected in the form of an answer. Thanks guys you are almost the best but not quite. :D
  12. Someone needs to buy stock in Firestone, Goodyear, Continental, Michelin, Pirelli, etc... if I am going to be playing this game I am going to run out of tires and airframes before I get a complete Campaign finished.
  13. Yep Feed I would be interested in it. Also interested in it if you could label it for your self OR have an overlay(s) that you could purchase for other sims that people play around with for those switches as well.
  14. I would just go ahead and bite the bullet and get a new power supply and a new graphics card. For the entire amount mentioned you can step into a GTX450-GTX470 and a decent 750W-850W power supply. I have a new GTX470 on the way from Newegg for $225 after all the rebates are back from them. Already got my tax refund from the government and all bills are paid...yeah baby!
  15. Amazon was showing them as an in stock item being sold by ANTonline as of right now. http://www.amazon.com/MFD-Cougar-Multifunctional-Cockpit-Panel/dp/B002NUD40S I would recommend SCSimulations though. Sheldon was great with communication and keeping me informed on the delay from TM's side and I got mine as I thought I would from when he told me they were shipping to him from TM. http://www.scsimulations.com/index.php/flight-controls/thrustmaster-products/thrustmaster-mfd-s.html
  16. SCSimulations has them in stock right now. I have mine out for delivery today...Cost is around $55 USD plus shipping.
  17. SOLD on another BBS. Thanks for taking a look.
  18. I have posted this to ebay if you are unsure about purchasing from me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250757075936
  19. I am going to have to add in a group of radio panels now for this game when I get around to building my simpit...more costs and have to find ways to stuff this under the rug so my wife doesn't see it....damn you people! Just when I had her permission to build a nice simpit in my home office as well.
  20. I was told today that Comet Supply was going to be getting their shipment in late next week...http://www.cometsupply.com/mp/THRUSTMASTER/pm/THM2960708/r/gg/ I was on their list of people who are interested in that item and they called me today to tell me when they would be getting their order in. Although I had already placed an order with SC Simulations and am sticking with them instead of buying from Comet Supply. There might be others receiving their shipments as well but I have only heard about them and SC Simulations.
  21. Just go download the firmware from TM's site and then follow the directions they have on the download page. Its easy and doesn't hurt at all when they tell you to wait on Rupaul to help you out. Just kidding.
  22. Still up for sale if anyone is interested.
  23. Nice find on the Front Panel Express company. I am checking them out for another project in the real pay check world. As for the Master Caution button...what if you just went with a clear button with an overlay that was a stencil? You may have thought about that already but I am sure they are out there.
