More information: I downloaded an F-16 BVR mission from the forums to try it out, and in this case, the radar and weapon deployment worked (see attached track file). At least I think it worked correctly, because in this mission the is an AWACS involved, and in my training I have not progressed yet to that stage - so I'm not sure it worked exactly as it should, but I was able to lock, track, and shoot down a target with and AIM-120. So perhaps this problem is only with training missions. But those are all consistently broken for me... Targets disappearing and reappearing randomly. Even targets that are visual.

I've been doing F-16C training missions and was working on my AIM-120 taring when the July 2025 update was released. Everything was going fine up to this point, but after the update, the radar, and possibly a adversary AI aircraft too stopped working properly. I'm attaching an example track file, but I tried it on multiple training missions - ones that I flew several times before, and ones that I didn't fly before, and in none of them the radar functioned correctly. Basically, either the targets never showed up on the radar, regardless of range, or they would show up somewhere other than where they were supposed to, only to disappear after locking them. After some time another target may show up in some apparently random location, bu that too would either disappear after a few seconds or disappear after locking it. Regardless how long I flew, no target adversary showed up visually anywhere, let alone getting to a position to be able to fire a weapon. I advanced in my training sufficiently to be familiar with the missions and their very predictable pattern, and it no longer functions as before. I tried to go back to the previous version (.\DCS_Updater.exe update 2.9.17.11733) but that didn't repair the situation. I tried repairing the installation via the launch screen file screen. Same result. I uninstalled DCS completely, re-downloaded it. Installed, installed my modules and maps - same result. Basically The F-16 is completely useless, at least for A-A (I did not progress to A-G yet, so I just don't know whether it works there). I did not try to make my own A-A mission to see whether it's a training-mission-only problem, so I cannot report on anything other than the bundled missions. I saw some posts from a long time ago about somewhat similar problems, but only saw posts with no fixes or posts where DCS updates from over 2 years ago fixed things - so I don't see those posts as particularly relevant. Hi! I know this has been asked and answered before. I am writing this on 1/19/2025 on the latest version of DCS (EA version, not openbeta). I want to add custom kneeboard pages to the F16-C. If I add them to c:\users\usename\saved games\dcs\kneeboard then the pages show up, as expected, for all aircraft. But if I place my custom pages in c:\users\usename\saved games\dcs\kneeboard\F16C or in c:\users\usename\saved games\dcs\kneeboard\F16C_50 then they do not show up for the F16-C. All the posts I saw about this say the subfolder should be named F16C_50, but it does not work for me. I don't know whether the name has changed since the posts were written or what else I might be doing wrong. Clearly the Kneeboard folder is correct, because it does show is I don't use a subfolder. Now, I think the problem is not specific to the F-16. If I place the custom png in c:\users\usename\saved games\dcs\kneeboard\A-4E-C for instance, it does not show for the A-4E either. So did the folks at EA change the pattern of placing aircraft-specific kneeboard files or something? I am very confused...
