  1. @BIGNEWY Track files have been uploaded to the ED discord that Nineline copied you into. One track file sent by Slans on the current update here. Then I obtained track files of previous updates until I found a version where the hawk worked normally here. From my testing, the last time the hawk worked "normally" was patch 2.9.12.5336.1, as you will see in my track files, which are labelled by update version. Nineline said it was reported internally, but may have been missed/overshadowed by other bugs.
  2. With the introduction of the Kiowa, and the fact that you don't always have the luxury of having an Apache or aircraft to work with, which makes the Kiowa so great, I thought, what if we had laser-guided artillery? may not be helpful in all servers or cases, but it would provide a very interesting option for gameplay, allowing aircraft like the Kiowa to utilise its powerful laser and camera system to hit targets in the support role it was intended for. This also makes the Kiowa an even more dangerous aircraft as it can be quite a distance away, hiding behind a hill, and lazeing a large volume of artillery in which platforms like the Apache can't do safely. making it more dangerous than the Apache (in some cases) due to the amount of damage this could theoretically cause. Obviously, it wouldn't just affect the Kiowa getting a vehicle close enough, and lasing through the binoculars would also be possible, so one tac commander/j-tac role slot could do the same, and the least likely to happen is that aircraft could lase as well. But the two main beneficiaries would be helicopters especially, and more capabilities for a combined arms user.
  3. Hawk is not firing at the normal range of around 20 nautical miles and will fire at around 10 nautical miles. Radar will only hard lock at 15 nautical miles. track radars will track (but not lock) an aircraft at 15 nautical miles or above, but will not hard lock or prepare to fire until 15 nautical miles. altitude doesn't affect it, 40,000 feet or 1,000 10 nautical miles is where it will roughly shoot. Having multiple aircraft near the hawk also seems to confuse it, as it will not fire at some people even if they are closer and higher than a target its tracking, that is 20 nautical miles at 5,000 feet.
