The Corsair is a mod that really demands the pilot be on top of the rudder. As I tried to say in my initial post, it’s really tough with a twist stick. If you aren’t trimmed perfect you have to fly with your wrist twisted at some angle which really makes it hard to work the elevator and ailerons with precision and the VKB stick at least doesn’t have the ability to change the springs on the that axis so it’s very stiff.
I recognize though that the Corsair demands the pilot work the rudder and that just adding a autorudder might neuter the mod or give an unfair advantage. Therefore I think it might be possible to have a button-style control for coordinated flight rather than an axis. Perhaps when you go to do a left turn you hit the left turn rudder button and then you get a coordinated turn to the left. A right turn rudder button would do the same to the right
This would make it so coordinated flight was a choice at any given time. The intent is to still preserve the plane’s characteristics and consequences for slamming power when on final and slow, demanding the pilot respect the R2800… but making it a little more fun in the sky for us broken humans.
Thanks for listening,
John
