  1. Let me do some research and will get back Let me do some research and will get back
  2. I’ve been a VR DCS player for 4 years. I play a couple times a week. I’ve really struggled with plane recognition in VR and it’s probably my greatest source of dissatisfaction with the experience. I figured this was just the limit of VR, at least with my setup of a OQ3 and a 4090. Just for something different I tried IL2 last night. I don’t even know which one. It was my first time. It was a completely different experience. I was able to ID BF109s from YAKs, FW190s from 109s and even discern the yellow nose art on planes at much further ranges with no issues. Maybe this is the wrong place for this comment. It’s not my intent to throw shade. I only want to make my DCS experience better. But what’s going on?? This feels like much more of a bug than a wish list request. Why is it so hard to see plane details. It’s like everything is blurry.

The Corsair is a mod that really demands the pilot be on top of the rudder. As I tried to say in my initial post, it’s really tough with a twist stick. If you aren’t trimmed perfect you have to fly with your wrist twisted at some angle which really makes it hard to work the elevator and ailerons with precision and the VKB stick at least doesn’t have the ability to change the springs on the that axis so it’s very stiff. I recognize though that the Corsair demands the pilot work the rudder and that just adding a autorudder might neuter the mod or give an unfair advantage. Therefore I think it might be possible to have a button-style control for coordinated flight rather than an axis. Perhaps when you go to do a left turn you hit the left turn rudder button and then you get a coordinated turn to the left. A right turn rudder button would do the same to the right This would make it so coordinated flight was a choice at any given time. The intent is to still preserve the plane’s characteristics and consequences for slamming power when on final and slow, demanding the pilot respect the R2800… but making it a little more fun in the sky for us broken humans. Thanks for listening, John Added a little more
  4. I’ve noticed that it’s really hard to do slips and skids with autorudder enabled. I use that feature because I’m disabled and I can’t use my legs. I have a twist stick though and so I routinely use slips to drop speed for landing. It seems like the airplane really fights me and overrides my control inputs back to coordinates flight. 1. Would it be possible for the developers to push a patch so that anytime the user gives rudder input, the autorudder option is completely disabled? 2. The other change I’d love to have is an option that is in between autorudder and no autorudder. Basically a button where if I’m turning left I would press the left button and it would give me a coordinates turn to the left. There would be another one to the right. Basically it would force the user to work to fly coordinated but not with an axis control. This would make it so coordinated flight was a choice at any given time. Not as important as my first change request above, but I think it would be a good addition. Thanks, I really love the Spitfire. I think it’s the best WW2 mod. - John

Wow. What are the chances. Can I send you a private message with a couple idea for how it could be implemented without neutering the mod?

Hey - I don’t have use of my legs and I’d really like if you all added auto rudder to the Corsair. Every other DCS warbird has it. I have a twist stick and I’ve even tried some creative options for making it work with my winwing f16 throttle and the rdr cursor thumb joystick but it’s the just not that much fun for me. I wish I could use my feet and pedals but it’s not an option. Autorudder would really let me enjoy this module more with my situation. Thanks. - John
