I've had mine (BSB2E} for a week now. Got it pretty well dialled in for DCS and Iracing. Coming from A G2 running 13700K/4090. Happy to answer any questions.

Thanks! I’ve read some Reddit posts saying the clarity or sweet spot is significantly lower than the Quest 3, which doesn’t really match what the publicity claims.

How do you find it compared to the Q3 in terms of sweet spot and overall performance (especially running DCS and iRacing)? Have you also tried Virtual Desktop with the Q3, and if so, how does the BSB2E stack up in smoothness and clarity?

Also curious if you notice any optical distortions around the edges, or if the image feels more consistent than on the Quest 3/Pimax.

  2. Has anyone here already been able to put some real hours into the BSB2?
I’m mainly flying in DCS, currently on a Quest 3 with VD, but also considering a Pimax (Crystal/Crystal Light).

Would you recommend the Beyond over those options in terms of clarity, comfort and overall sim experience?

I tested this again today, and I noticed a dramatic improvement in image quality: it seems to have fixed some long-standing bugs with lighting in the cockpit (especially for ED modules). I'm sure I wasn't the only person to notice that there is/was a dramatic difference in lighting/colours when looking outside to the ground in external view, and then switching to cockpit view looking at the same patch of ground: suddenly the brightness increases greatly and the colours become washed out. For some reason ED modules always suffered a lot more of this issue than 3rd party modules 🤔

I wonder if it is indeed considered "ready for public use" now...

Any performance increase or graphics glitches?

    Hi,

I'm not seeing the same issue as you, so I will need to see some logs or data to try and pin down what you are seeing.

None of our testing team have reported higher temps during testing.

Please BN review your testing because with my setup I have also 20º higher in comparison with the previous version. This seems a joke. Thanks.

    Hi,

the above issues were fixed some time ago. I have tested today using your tracks and I am not experiencing the stutter, I will ask others to check also so its not just my machine being used.

Maybe stuttering after high fps like 120 vsynced or so.... and not with vsync 60Hz whick CPU spikes are less noticeable. Or maybe with vsync off those stutters are not so abrupt... what is you testing condition?

I am seeing this too. I have done all the usual things but it still persists. The good news is is stops after about a minute or so. I just updated to the Nvidia 276 ft very so it might be related to that!?

Exactly, lasts about 1 minute. With 2.9.14 I don´t have any initially Spiking. Same config.

It looks like some sort of precache just after initial sim loading.

  7. After updating DCS World to version 2.9.15, I’ve been experiencing intermittent stuttering that lasts for about one minute aprox. after the sim has started.. I’m attaching screenshots of main menu with graph stutter, and the log file.

After 1 minute, those "spikes" disappears. I did rollback to 2.9.14 and seeing those stutterings didn´t appear, so its completely related to the last update.

Anyone has noticed it? (my specs, 5090, 32gb, 7800x3d, W10)

No. VD do not have any relation with Steam. VD === Virtual Desktop. Best performance with god mode.

  9. Just to inform, with the new V72 update for Quest 3, random microstutterings or "lag spikes" have been practically eliminated. Now it runs completely smoothly when using Virtual Desktop (H264+ at 500mbs). Let's hope it stays this way and Meta doesn't mess it up again.... Has anyone else experienced the same with latest V72?
