  1. Actually, the first times I have flown DCS: A-10 (sim mode), was with an Xbox360 controller :pilotfly:(I was waiting for my HOTAS Warthog!) And well, it's surprisingly effective, aslong as you are just flying around. I had it set up as left stick for plane's stick, and right stick for viewing around the cockpit. I'll check when I'm back home and will let you know how I set it up. cheers, Callyste
  2. I must be alone in this case, my WH slew works fine in DCS A10! (used it for viewing around the cockpit before I bought TrackIR)
  3. Wonderful choice! Enjoy it :)
  4. Let's hope they sort this out quickly. This HOTAS is really worth it!
  5. This may be a good idea. Just have to keep in mind, there is a huge chance of people who have had a problem to be more inclined to answer the poll, than those who never had. In any case, here is a similar poll that has been posted on a French forum (Check-six! forum): http://www.checksix-forums.com/showthread.php?p=1120780 Translation of the poll: - I have had a problem with my throttle and it had to be changed by TM's customer service : 13.51% (5 votes) - I have had a problem with my throttle, but it was solved without the customer service : 8.11% (3 votes) - I never had a problem : 78,38% (29 votes) Again... with my experience in such polls, people who had problems are more likely to answer the poll than people who did not. These numbers are NOT accurate. However, they still show that there's quite a number of defects out there, and hopefully Thrustmaster will find a solution soon. *crosses fingers* my thottle's still kicking, hope it continues this way!
  6. Guess they're having huge lotteries at TM to sort out Throttles with their Stick!:joystick:
  7. I had the exact opposite experience. They took almost a week to answer my mail, however they did understand exactly what I had asked.
  8. New, working unit received! Serial #: 03932 Location: France
  9. Sadly. But good news, I have received the new Warthog (the stick hey, not the whole aircraft) today while I was at work. I'll have to go to the post office tomorrow morning to grab it :)
  10. Quick update. Seems like responsiveness of TM is as good as in tales. - Saturday 29th, January, in the morning I send a mail to TM support asking for the calibration tool, while simultaneously contacting my retailer through phone call for returning the product, asking for a new unit. - Saturday 29th, January, lunch time The retailer send me by mail the return-a-product sheet as well as a redeem coupon so I dont have to pay for the shipping. No reply from TM - Monday 31st, January, in the morning I send through postal services the stick & throttle, for free thanks to the redeem coupon from the retailer. No reply from TM yet - Wednesday 2nd, February, in the afternoon The retailer notifies me by mail that they have received the stick. No reply from TM still - Tuesday 3rd, February, in the morning The retailer notifies me by mail that they have shipped a new unit. No reply from TM still - Tuesday 3rd, February, in the afternoon TM sends me a mail with the Calibration Tool, and asks me to tell them the results. Thanks for the reactiveness guys, I'll keep that tool in handy in case the NEW unit I'm receiving today/tomorrow has a similar problem :D edit - Friday 4th, February The new unit has arrived! Thumbs up to the retailer (rueducommerce.com) for its reactiveness and seriousness.
  11. Serial #: 3012 location France It's going back to the retailer (mechanical defect, not a brick), so I'll surely have a new number in a week & a half or 2.... the sooner the better, this stick is awesome!
  12. I've contacted TM support, incase their Calibration Tool -might- help. However, since it's the week-end I have not received any reply yet. Anyone out there has this calibration tool in handy to send to me? I'd really like to try this before sending the HOTAS back to the retailer, on monday morning. Thanks in advance for the help!
  13. Well, I have just called the online retailer I bought it from. I'm returning the unit (well, the whole package) on monday, and I'll receive a new one as soon as they receive mine. I won't have to pay for expedition fee, so that's good news. And good thing the retailer isnt located too far away from here, so it shouldnt take more than a week or a week and a half from monday to receive the new one! cheers, and thanks for the help! 14. Testing was done in Windows' testing & calibration screen (after seeing it wasnt working in game). Again, seems like there's either a short-circuit or a misalignment of captors, something of that taste. Maybe someone will have a trick that'll do... if not, I'll return it to the vendor and ask for a replacement unit! It just sucks, I hate waiting :/
  15. Upon investigating, it seems there is a "hole" in the position detection of my left throttle. If I force a bit and "press" it down, or left or right (though this scares me a bit, wouldnt want to break the thing), the calibration screen suddenly registers the new position input. Any advice? Has any of you already dismantled the throttle and played with the captors (or whatever they are to register the input)? Please help! cheers, Callyste
  16. Hello there! I've recently purchased the sexy HOTAS Warthog from Thrustmaster. I finally received it today. It's as sexy as on the picture! I got everything installed - drivers, firmware 10&18, and TARGET. Everything seem to work fine BUT the left throttle. All buttons return positive input on all positions, and all axis aswell except this particular left throttle axis work as well. In Windows' calibration & testing, the "Z-rotation axis" (corresponding to the left throttle, according to TARGET), stays fully up. I am wondering if this is a known issue, maybe I have forgot something, or did something wrong? Thanks in advance for all the help. best, Callyste
  17. Good evening everyone. If I may, as other people suggested, reporting what mobo DID brick would be more accurate. Reported mobos here as having not bricked may still brick the following day. I'm not trying to be annoying or whatever. But, as I just recently bought myself a TM WH, I'm very much interested in the problem and its potential solutions or, at least, pinpointing the exact origin of the actual problem. Best of luck to everyone, and fly safe! o7 Callyste
