  1. I found a good drawing of the IP and consoles at this forum. I then imported the images into Autocad and set the scale using 5"x5" for the MFCD. I'll post an image of that drawing this evening. This gave me the dimensions for the IP(which I have mocked up in cardboard) and the Left and Right consoles. ( In the process of making these out of cardboard as well) I am very close to having a mocked up A10C cockpit so that I can generate final dimensions. I'll post pics of the mockup as soon as possible. Just wasn't sure about the seat heght. Hoping Y2Kiah could respond. I plan on using touch screens for the IP and both consoles within an accurate full size cockpit. Back soon with pics.
  2. I've searched and can't find the distance from the ACES II seat bottom to the cockpit floor. I'm trying to determine panel and LR console heights from floor. Anyone out there have this? Thanks, Kevin

    A10C MFD

Thanks. I'm planning on doing a mockup of the left and right consoles as well as the instrument panel in corrugated cardboard. I'll post some pics as soon as possible. This will be my first try at pit building!

    A10C MFD

Hello all, I'm trying to scale some dimensions off of some panel drawings in autocad. Is the MFD screen size 5"x5" without bezel? Are the console panels 5.75" wide(ex. fuel panel) thanks for any help. Kevin
  5. Just messing around with Sketchup and found a decent model in the 3d warehouse. Model appears to be drawn full size. Warning! I am not very proficient with Sketchup yet! Used the section tool to cut off forward part of fuselage to see crce oss section. Anybody tried similar to come up with simpit dimensions? Might be a good place to start! Kevin
  6. Wow! I've been reading as much DCS A10 info as I can get my hands on in the past week and I'm blown away with what A10C can do! Way to go ED! I have been out of the sim world for about 10 years and am really looking forward to getting this setup. I can remember wishing for something like this back in the 90's playing Falcon 3, B2B, Janes, etc. It appears that the functionality built into the sim screams for a simpit! I've seen what others are doing, sure makes me want one! Have a bunch of questions but I'll just ask one right now. Is there a guide or a set of instructions for multiplayer. I see that there are a number of virtual squadrons with their own servers. Could someone point me to a guide that would explain how to interact with these players? Thanks very much and looking forward to flying missions! Kevin Sluder Houston, Tx
