Exactly! 27's job is to strike not just spook...and it doesn't do it's job at all...AMRAAMSKIs plz; I guess with it the Su27s will be quite formidable!

Well I did use the r-77 with the mig29s and the difference was stark! That's why the rant :)

The point is to have a fighting chance when one merges. Obviously the pilot's skill matters but the odds are stacked against the Su27 drivers in BVR currently in DCS.

This is how useless the R-27s in reality are. And we don't have a choice but to carry 4 of these dead weights. Highly disadvantageous being a Su27 driver in DCS when you're going up against F15s,16s & 18s with AMRAAMs. We need the AMRAAMSKIs.

I think I read somewhere here that ED are working on the PFM for MiG29S...well +1 to the ones eagerly waiting for it...am in absolute awe of this bird...plz ED, give us the PFM soon!

An internal ECM? Is this modeled in DCS? If yes, then how do I tell that its on? Is it any good?

Hey guys, Here are a few that I think I've found playing 'Over the hump' campaign. 1) After deploying flaps and gear for landing, the air-brake doesn't deploy:cry: 2) After having landed, the brake shoot doesn't deploy:cry: 3) Post landing, when the wingmen land and are about to get off the active runway to taxi to the parking area, they just vanish! Now not sure if the ones below are bugs or not, but after having flown the Su27, the following stand out: 1) I have been able to land at very high speeds, in excess of 320 without damaging the under carriage. Whereas in a Su27, the under carriage would bend/break 2) Not having the brake-shoot deploy post landing, I've had to use wheel brakes to come to a stop. In a Su27, the wheels just burst if you use the brakes instead of the shoot

Hey Ian, All done. To be honest, I didn't contribute much to the Davey Jones' Locker one; got shot down way too early, but hung around after ejecting and the chaps did their job! So are you the voice that comes in at times to say 'The strike package is on station...waiting for your nod...etc.'??? Seemed to be the same voice in the Su-27 training modules. There's also a girl's voice in some of the missions.

Am inclined to take my previous comment back. MiG 29 KICKS ASS! Despite of no data link, I find it better than the Su 27. Perhaps, the capability of carrying R-77s has something to do with it, but boy! it's light and nimble! :)

Hi guys, Noticed that the HUD & HDD on the MiG 29S display the exact same thing. Example, while in the NAV mode, a SU27's HUD would show the heading circle while the HDD would show the waypoint routes but in the MiG 29S, what you see on the HUD is exactly the same as what you see on the HDD...the same's true for other modes like BVR etc. Is this a bug or an oversight? :helpsmilie:

Just went through the change logs for v1.5.4...doesn't mention any corrections to campaigns or missions!

Hey guys, Just ended up flying this for the 2nd time now, both the times, I ran out of gas after downing 4 F18s...told my wingmen to complete mission and RTB while I ejected...stuck around looking at F2 views of other Su34s etc. but they all return to base w/o completing the mission...did tell them to press on with their tasks whenever the 'Other' option came up on the screen. Not sure what's wrong. Also, is this the very last mission of the campaign?

Umm...not following...don't use any game controller apart from my HOTAS, Mouse & TrackIR...nothing else is connected.

Single missions. Gets weirder...

Thanks guys...but my questions were different...I know the radar and weapon modes... I was asking if: 1) We can unlock a locked target using a key - if yes, which key? 2) Can we cycle through the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 modes using a single key?

Hi guys, Two quick questions: 1. How does one unlock a target? Can't find a key assignment or an option in the 'Controls' menu 2. How does one cycle through 'combat modes'? Is there a single key assignment like for cycling weapons? Can't find this in the 'Controls' menu

Thanks DarkFire. But like I said, i didn't experience the failure not having used the ACS subsequently...it's only when I use the autopilot and come off it to fight, this happens...
