Have been having this problem for sometime now. Pointed this out in a separate Heatblur specific thread too but I was told there that this was in fact an ED related problem. The problem is that every time I exit DCS, a few of my axis bindings for the F14 turn 'red' - which basically means that they have been rendered inactive. I have to then physically delete the F14 'input' folder from within my DCS folder and re-do the bindings all over again. As you can imagine, doing this everytime is a pain!!! Plz fix it. Thanks!

[NO BUG] Major problems in 'Training' missions

Thanks Alex. Pressing 2 worked. Could do the RIO 'training' missions now. However, the input error still persists :( -
[NO BUG] Major problems in 'Training' missions
BattleAxes Skinner replied to BattleAxes Skinner's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks Alex. I have been deleting the ‘F14B’ sub-folder within the ‘Input’ folder to get rid of the ‘red’ highlight. Is this what you meant? If yes, then I have been repeatedly doing it, but the problem keeps recurring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

[NO BUG] Major problems in 'Training' missions
BattleAxes Skinner replied to BattleAxes Skinner's topic in Bugs and Problems
Believe me Cobra, I have tried this multiple times. The mission asks the trainee to hit ‘spacebar’ to ‘continue’ the training and not to ‘pause’ the training. Upon hitting the ‘spacebar’, the view shifts from the front cockpit to the rear cockpit, and it just doesn’t load properly. It’s as if the RIO is having an out-of-body experience. Plz at least try this once yourself. You’ll know what am talking about. Also, the F14 axis assignments seem to only mess up after one exits after doing any of the F14 training missions >> shuts down DCS >> and restarts DCS. Again, plz try it for yourself. I am reporting this after having done this over and over and over again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
[NO BUG] Major problems in 'Training' missions
BattleAxes Skinner replied to BattleAxes Skinner's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well, the only axis controls that get messed up are for the F14 and not of any other module. If not an F14 bug then why does this happen? Not quite sure what you mean by 'Unpause' the sim. The sim is not 'paused' in the first place! -
After exiting the 'training' missions, the axis controls assigned get messed up. Specifially, the 'Roll' and the 'Rudder' controls get a 'Red' highlight - which basically means that these controls have been rendered ineffective. The RIO training missions are a complete and utter mess. After hitting the 'spacebar' to switch to the RIO seat, the RIO cockpit view is not loaded-up properly. Cannot follow the training at all after this. It's totally useless. I don't understand how can a developer launch a 'new' module without properly testing the 'Training' missions?!?!? And that too when it's the most expensive 'module' yet. Jesus!

Hey there, Been noticing that using jammers when flying a Su-27 / J-11 are of no consequence when going up against an F15 - since it can still see my aspect, height and also TWS me (on burn-through). Shouldn't a pulse doppler radar switch to STT when there is a jammer on irrespective if there is burn-through or not? This is exactly how it is in the Su-27 & J-11 Is this a bug in the F15's radar that needs immediate attention and correction? The F15 drivers I have spoken to think so! ED?

34. Started playing Novalogic (F-16, MiG-29), Janes (IAF, F-15) & F-16 Aggressor way back in the late nineties early 2000s. Played LOMAC too for a bit but not as seriously as DCS now.

Need a little monitor advice
BattleAxes Skinner replied to default762792's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi there, Sure 1440p is just awesome and given your system specs, you will be able to pull it off; but 1080p will give you higher FPS than the 1440p. I personally haven't ever flown at 1440p but I can vouch that spotting targets at a distance of about 25-30kms is not a problem at all with 1080p 144hz monitor. I'd recommend that you go for a curved monitor - more immersive! Take care! -

Hi Mr. Burns... I don't have a wall at the back of the monitor...can you share some visual examples of this 'stand' you're suggesting?... I can confirm that I have the correct camera = track clip pro selected... Am sorry, didn't quite follow the 'speed up the axis steeply' bit... I have the track clip on the left side of my headset...have 3x LEDs on the track clip pro... -

Hi Cap...I have a TrackIR 5 Clip Pro When I turn my head to the extreme right is when it starts acting erratically... By erratically I mean, the head starts bouncing in every direction... This is exactly what the TIR S/W show...the head graphics bouncing in every direction...however the 'camera' view shows the 3 green track clip points.
