Unfortunately some of the issues our out of our control (like the ATC, and ILS issues).  ED says they are working on the ATC system so hopefully that will improve over time.

Yea, I understand that, but it is definitely a problem. I just tried the refueling missions, and without a working ATC, they also don't work.

By the way, I failed the AAR missions and also was shot down in the third one, but it was considered a success with 60 points. In the night refueling I did not even need to take off. It was considered a success when I exited just after taxying a few meters.

From a documentation perspective we have provided flight route and maneuver diagrams to try and explain what is required.  What more can we add to make it clearer?

A good start would be something similar to the explanations the IP gives when flying. Probably not so detailed, but enough to know what is expected from you, not just the parameters for qualification.

    Thx.

  2. First thing, congratulations. A very good learning experience. If I must suggest something, I would say that some more details are required in the documentation. Several times I was not sure what was required or how to proceed, so I had to check YT videos or fly the mission to grasp the details of the mission.

On the other side I had problems with several missions:

    • ATC nearly never worked. Usually I don't get any response from them after the request to taxy.
    • Aerobatics was really difficult for me, and failed the exam in the Immelmann because I broke the altitude restriction, but I was given a Q- with a score of 70. I really feel like I failed that exam.
    • The emergency test was impossible to finish. As reported by others, as soon as I change to manual reversion the plane is unflyable.
    • The ILS landing was also impossible. I never get a ILS signal and the runway has its lights off. Could this be because the ATC doesn't answer?

Now to the Advanced Aircraft training

    Thx

  3. That's exactly my point. I can edit my package, but every allied and opfor package is flawed resulting in huge losses. I enjoy F4/BMS, but this has always been an issue with the campaign since the beginning.

That's when you plan and create EVERY flight. No more suicide missions.

At least in your side :-)

  4. Yea, I understand.

What I have in mind is the use with other simulators, in particular Steelbeast, an armored warfare simmulator.

At least you need two radios plus another one to simmulate the vehicle intercom in line vehicles. But in command vehicles you can have three or more radios and your brigade probably has a dozen nets that you need to join from time to time.

So it would be really useful to have at least four radios that you can tune.

As an example, today I will command a company and will have whispers to:

BLN Net: BTL CO, Company COs

    Fire Control Net: FO

    CSS Net: XO

Scouts net: Scout units (There could be several nets, North and East, for example)

Company net: Company CO and Platoon COs

Sometimes I have to coordinate with a neigbour company, so I create a whisper to that CO.

It would be easier and more flexible if we had tuneable radios.

All the same, it is just a wish. Your effort is appreciated and what you have plannes already is a dream.

    thx

  5. I was reading the description of the Ground Radio and I see that there are eigth fixed channels. How do we configure those channels?

I would suggest more radios configurable on the fly, at least another one.

    Thx.

  6. Can it work independently of DCS world? This kind of tool would invaluable for other simulations.

Edit: I already saw the ground radio. Probably that is what I am looking for.

  7. Solved. For SoftTH to work you have to select Fullscreen in DCS World. After that the hotkey works flawlesly.

The solution is less than perfect because it squases a 1920x2280 render into the 1920x1200 so everything is flatened.

A good workaround whle we wait for a definitive solution. After three years it must be almost ready :megalol:

    Thx

  8. Workaround :

    @ Tacom

But you will have to re-arrange your monitors/view.ports probably in another way (stacked) to get a satisfying result in your case.

Stacked? sorry for my english, that means one on top of the other? Thats my current configuration.

  9. I run a two monitor configuration and the F10 appears on both of them, so I have to switch off Helios everytime I want to check the map.

I thought it was a new behaviour until I checked A10 standalone version I realized I always had half of the map hidden.

Where can I tell it to stay in the main window?
