  1. What about the BS and Rotories of the Throttle Hi All, Maybe you can help me here because it's those Rotories on the G940 Throttle that are giving me the trouble in BS. I installed the G940 control setup via the BS's controller system after downloading it from the web. Someone was offering their G940 profile for BS but they didn't go through the Logitech Profiler. They did it all through the BS Control setup system and I just dragged and dropped the 3 controller profiles in place. Apparently my R1 and R2 Rotory switches of my Logitech G940 Throttle control are connected to the view operation inside the cockpit which lets me look up & down, (R2) and left & Right, (R1). I can actually roll 360 degrees in either direction if I wanted to. I liked that until I found that the slightest motion of the throttle will activate the R-wheels and move my POV all over the place. Is there any way to 'desensitize' those 2 switches? If not, I'd like to assign at least one to zoom in and out if possible. I don't know how to disengage either one or I would because that would at least improve my situation. I can't fly because everything jumps around sporadically just as I take off. Neither switches show up in the BS controls setup. So does anyone know how to at least stop those R switches from applying any input?
  2. What about the R 1& 2 switches? Hi Power5, I'm multitasking between my training in the ka-50 and setting up the G940. I've been reading a lot of good suggestions in the setup of the switches and buttons but I notice that no one has said anything about assigning a 'Mode' change to one of the switches, (I am assuming that there is no way to get the 3 position Mode switch on the throttle to work), in order to at least double the abilities. I'm going to check that out when I get a few other things working right. That brings me to my question; apparently my R1 and R2 wheels are connected to the view operation inside the cockpit which lets me look up & down, (R2) and left & Right, (R1). I can actually roll 360 degrees in either if I wanted to. I liked that until I found that the slightest motion of the throttle will activate the R-wheels to move all over the place. Is there any way to 'desensitize' those 2 switches? If not, I'd like to assign at least one to zoom in and out if possible. But I don't know how to disengage either one and at the moment I can't fly because everything jumps around sporadically at the moment of take off. Neither switch shows up in the controls setup. I installed the setup I presently have after downloading it from the web. Someone was offering their G940 Profile for BS but they didn't go through the Logitech Profiler. They did it all through the BS Control setup system and I just dragged and dropped the 3 controller profiles in place. So does anyone, (if not you), know how to at least stop those R switches from applying any input?
  3. Thank You guys. I just finshed trying the first suggestion, (the reply from MAR was not there at the time), and that didn't work. Then I tried the MAR suggestion and I got it. Is that mode, (when the mouse moves the view), referred to as 'Slewing' or 'Slew'? As I said, I never understood that in FSX and the only thing I read that folks used it for was moving around 'a-realistically'. But I just finished a "How to target & fire the weapons" training vid and it looks like I'm going to need to use that mode once in a while. Or at least if I do, it will be easier on me. I don't know.
  4. Hi All, Though I have plenty experience with helicopter sims and flight, the BS is my first 'shoot 'em up' sim. I have been, (and still am), reading and training and reading. Although I have many questions that I'm sure the answers to are in the manuals and forums, I can't find the solution to this: When I'm in the cockpit of the BS and I finished watching one of the Training Videos, I can then press the escape key and take control of the chopper to try what I just watched. But each time I do this the yellow mouse curser moves my POV with each motion of my mouse! I somehow managed to stop it a few times but I really don't know how I did that. Anyway, I can't pick out a switch if I'm constantly chasing after it. Can someone tell me how to get the mouse out of what ever mode it's in when it does that? I also would like to know if that is a 'Slew' mode. I have never, ever used a Slew mode on any sim that offered it because inspite of all the definitions I've read, I don't know what it would really be used for. If it hasn't got to do with realistic flight, I tend to ignore it. Is that what's going on with the mouse trouble I'm having? Thank You
  5. Thank You much EtherrealN!
  6. I know this is an old topic but I'm just taking a shot in the dark and hope you may be watching. You said "It was only thanks to the 10th Producers' Notes video..." Can you be a bit more specific as to where I can find that video, (or even the direct link if you have it)? Thanks
  7. WOW! Thank DevLish! That is all a great help. I truly appreciate it!
  8. Hi all, I am totally new to the Blakshark game and am trying to be carefull. I loaded the game via the disc, (purchased on Amazon), early this morning and I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions but at the moment I just have 2: I have the G940 Logitech system and I am pretty familiar with helicopters in a Sim environment. I have been playing the MSFSX for about 6 months and the G940 is the latest addition, (and 2 weeks ago). I am still only at the "Controls" set up option and have been reading the manual carefully. I have not got the throttles, (left and right), to be identified in the section regarding the control settings, (ka-50 Real). What I mean is that when I move the throttle forward or back as one control the system seems to want to ID it as a Joystick move. I also tried moving them independently, (left and right throttle), the ID jumps to an 'joyx' and 'joyy' in any of the throttle's configuration. I expected that it would ID the throttles in the "Collective" category and because I am still not knowledgeable enough to try the game out and see what happens, I thought maybe someone could clarify this for me a little. (Particularly someone who may also have a G940). Anybody want to try? The 2nd question is about any updates that I should load. As best as I can determine, the version of DCS Blackshark I presently have is version 1.0. Is there a newer one? And finally, please excuse me if I've listed these questions in the wrong place or have overlooked some post that refers to these 2 questions. I've been at this all day, (with many interruptions), and am a little tired. So I thought I'd hang it up for the rest of the day with this post and see if things start to come together in the morning. Thanks System info: 3.4 GHz processor, 8gigs RAM, Radeon HD 5770, Windows 7 64bit
