  1. Suspect the new version is in the 1.1.1.0 patch though - 5th or 6th item in the features list posted by Wags... Still downloading patch so can't confirm but sure someone will very soon...
  2. I've had exactly the same thing - think it was 105s too but will need to check...
  3. Sorry NdP, should have been clearer! I followed Warrior's jtac guide and it worked great with the first coords. Then I get the second coords and try the very same thing I get to the stage of typing in the coords which seems ok but when I press OSB17(?) to store these nothing happens. There is no error message but the CDU screen just stays the same with the new coords still sitting in the text entry box and the previous WPs coords in the row above instead of the new ones. Will try and save a track later if that doesn't make sense, sure to be something stupid! Re q2 I must have been doing something stupid as that's what I thought - will try again later. Thanks for your help!
  4. Apologies for what are probably dumb questions but here goes (just trying to get to grips with JTAC and CDU input)...! 1. I can enter the first UTM coords or Lats and Longs I get from JTAC, give it a name etc. then bring it up in the HUD as a mission point / steerpoint (apologies for semantics!) but when I try to put in a second one I can't get the CDU to store the new set of coords - pressing OSB 16 / 17 doesn't work as per the first set of coords. I've tried it with the AAP set to Flight Plan and to Mission but no joy. What am I doing wrong!?! 2. Once I have stored and selected a new waypoint I can't seem to figure out how to get the TGP to pan to this point in the same way China Hat Aft long does with flight plan waypoints (C long on the keyboard). Do I need to do something different or is it not possible? Any help much appreciated, 8mth old baby means DCS time is limited and research even more so!! Fb.
  5. Oops, @V4Friend again! 1. No log file on the C: drive even though it appears to be working fine. 2. I installed 1.3 then the 1.5 update for FTN but will try the fix too.. Cheers, Fb
  6. Big thanks for all the help guys, got it working fine and the recentering hotkey makes a huge difference! Have tinkered a bit with the curves, EWMA etc. and have something thats useable. Just need to get a few hours in to get used to it and set it up a wee bit better. Thanks again all!
  7. Guys, big thanks for this, if I can figure how rep works I'll fire some at you! @Gneckes - yeah, been fiddling about with various settings to get something that works, definitely getting there. Very nice work!! @V4Friend.. Definitely an issue with Kaspersky that is worth knowing about. Because it sees FTN as a keylogger Kaspersky doesn't let it communicate with A10C (or vice versa?). I still get a warning about it when I run it but it works regardless now. I'm running Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 and I've given FTN full permissions by going.. Protection Center > Files and Data Protection > Application Control > Settings > Applications Then, select FTN in the "Low Restricted" section and alter the permissions in the "Rights" tab. Should work after that. I've actually just this minute moved it into the "Trusted" section so that should remove the warning message too and it might mean that the permissions are altered automatically - too late to tell though! Suspect the antivirus issue might be more generic - I posted my problem on a similar thread and noticed that Username455 had to unblock it to get it to work - thats what got me thinking about Kaspersky. See the Alternate 6dof thread - not sure how to attach a link! Now - can you fix it so that I can control this beast using mind control just like in Firefox? After all that was 20+ yrs ago so it must be easy now...
  8. Cheers, have just figured out that the issue was with Kaspersky - resolved it by allowing FTN full access rights. Useful to know!! Seems to work fine but very sensitive so any tips very welcome! Is there a hotkey etc. that can be used to centre my head within the 'pit?
  9. Username455 - I'm using the 64bit version of V4Friend's file and have managed to get so far but then have hit a wall... A10C now starts up and I get into the 'pit at mission start but I'm getting no movement even though FTN seems to be tracking me fine. Just get left looking out at a random angle that I'm unable to move out of. Also have the same issue you have when I exit a mission. I'm also not getting a log file saved on to the C: drive. Just wonder if its Kaspersky that might be causing some issues for me?? I don't have an Unblock option in file properties - is that your AV?? Damn, so near and yet so far!
  10. Gneckes - hadn't spotted that the files need to be in a "Headtracker" folder in the "Bin" so that seemed to help in that I got into the cockpit! However, although Facetrack appears to be tracking me pretty well perfectly, I'm getting no movement in the 'pit and instead my view switches to a random direction and won't budge from it. I also get a crash when I quit from the game back to the menus although they do still appear again. Finally, no text file seems to be created so all in all it ain't quite working yet! Presumably the text file should be in the root of C:? Ta! Fb EDIT Kaspersky was causing an issue with FTN - resolved by allowing it full access - just very sensitive now.
  11. Just had a quick try with the 64 bit version and A10C crashed unfortunately. Went through the tracking installation v1.3, updated to v1.5, and copied the headtracker.dll into the bin folder as instructed. Then ran FaceTrack, opened the A10C ini, verified that my face was being tracked and minimised. (EDIT: then started the sim) But, A10C then crashes as soon as I click "Fly" from mission selection, and the text log file that should be logged by FaceTrack (?) onto the root of C: is missing too. I get an "A10C has generated errors" message and it closes down. Everything works fine if I rename the headtracker dll to avoid it loading. Any thoughts / help!?!
  12. Thanks sobek, very much appreciated! Fb
  13. Probably been asked before but whats the easiest way to do a clean install while saving key bindings and is it possible to do so without using up an activation? Not worried about pilot log particularly (haven't started a campaign yet due to RL!) Cheers, Fb
