  1. Yeah I think I already read that the current engine does not uses really multi-core CPUs. Is there a way at the moment to reduce the number of objects that the CPU has to render? Instead removing A/C ;)
  2. Hello guys, Thanks again for your help. I did your test TZeer and here are the results (I think you were right)... I put a A10C for me at Sochi parking 25. Alone Looking right: 33 FPS - 444 Objects Looking left: 28 FPS - 616 Objects Me + 1 A10C on my left Looking right: 33 FPS - 444 Objects Looking left: 21 FPS - 716 Objects Me + 2 A10C on my left Looking right: 33FPS - 444 Objects Looking left: 18FPS - 830 Objects So it seems to be the number of objects my problem (I did not notice it in single player until now - I guess because usually I only have one wingman). But, what can I do about it? If it is a CPU limitation, is there a way to improve this?? My CPU is a Phenom II X4 @ 3.4GHz and only 30% of it is used. It's not a small CPU even if it's starting to be a bit old. Thanks for your time. Cam'
  3. I don't have a screenshot at the moment, but I can say that it is happening on several airbases but if there are no other player I don't have changes in FPS (or not more than 1 or 2 FPS). I could do a test later today. Yesterday, I was parked on Sochi-Adler parking 25. I looked at the object counter... On the right it's around 450. On the left arount 860. I could test by looking at numbers when offline with only me on the parking. Thanks I'll try that also.
  4. Hello HiJack. Thanks for the settings. I'll try them online at our next mission. In singleplayer, it seems to improve the FPS the only issue is that all textures are a bit blury and it is less easy to read cockpit indication. But let's try it like this for the next mission and see if it solves my FPS drop issue. I'll keep you posted. Cam'
  5. Hello guys, it's me again. This evening I tried a lot of stuff with my squadron. Base was me and 2 wingmen (other players), at parking, engine off. First try Settings: Everything on HIGH When looking on the right (no one there): 25FPS When looking on the left (2 wingmen): 13FPS Second Try Settings: Everything on LOW When looking on the right (no one there): 60FPS When looking on the left (2 wingmen): 25FPS !!! ??? Third Try Settings: My usual settings, a lot of stuff on high, some things deactivated (HDR, Tree shadows...) When looking on the right (no one there): 35FPS When looking on the left (2 wingmen): 18FPS I looked at memory usage around 2GB out of the 8GB I have I looked at CPU usage around 30% (I have 4 cores at 3.4GHz each) I tried then to use pretty much every single option available in graphic options... no improvement. I tried also to use some AMD options like Anti aliasing but no improvement either. I tried FPS improvement tricks suggested on this forum, nothing works (at least for this FPS drop). I really need some help here! I am sure there is a bug or something to fix here! It was not working at the time of the initial release of DCS World but then it improved after a few patches and then came back some patches ago. My buddies does not have any particular issues. Please help! Cam'
  6. Hello again :) Am I the only one experiencing this issue in Multiplayer? I don't have this problem when looking at AI planes. I guees, some effects are modeled when it is a client and are not when it is an AI? Any idea what I should do? Cheers, Cam'
  7. Hello all, I have an issue with FPS in multiplayer. When we are flying with my squad, everytime I look at them I got a huge FPS drop. I tried to lower settings but it's the same problem whatever the settings. It was present a few patches ago, and then disappeared. Since the last patch it's back. I am around 35-40 FPS when not looking at them and it goes to 12-15FPS when I am looking at 2 or 3 other players... I thought initially it was because of the Heat blur, but even when deactivated it is the same. Any idea why it happens? My computer specs: AMD Phenom II X4 965BE AMD Radeon HD5870 8Gb DDR3 RAM DCS Installed on a SSD Win8 64bits Thanks. Cam'
  8. Okay so I was able to test it. My ports are opened and forwarded correctly. I still have the problem but it seems to be better. After 5-7 tries, I usually manage to see the game of my buddy. So I'll say it's enough for me at the moment. Thanks. Cam'
  9. Ok so I guess when I tried in single player, I used F15E and then for my MP mission I put F15C. Thanks all for the answers.
  10. The thing is that IA flights can be seen on the TAD. I don't understand what you meant. I am able to see other A10C flights, as well as my own group and other IA groups.
  11. Hello Guys, I am just wondering why I cannot see my mates flying on FC3 (F15) on my TAD in DCS:A10C? Is there something specific to do? If I just replace the Client F15 by AI F15, I can see them on the TAD. Cheers, Cam'
  12. Thanks for all the information skatezilla. I'll test again next Tuesday. Hopefully it will work now :)
  13. Ok so I tried with PFPortChecker and it said that my ports were closed. I checked in my router settings and it seemed ok. I deleted all the settings - reboot. Then I tried by setting my computer in DMZ -> Ports checked OK, it's open Then I set back only the 10308 and the ports are detected as opened by PFPortChecker. I don't really understand why they were not opened, but now it seems to be ok. I'll test with my mates next week if the problem is solved. Thanks guys for your help! Cam'
  14. What could be blocking the comms? I deactivated the firewall, antivirus on windows at least during the tries. I don't see what could cause the problem... :( Is there a way to be sure the port are forwarded correctly, some kind of testing tool? It should be ok but it's worth checking.
  15. Thanks for the answer. The ports are correctly opened and I have a fixed IP on my local network. When I try to do a Direct IP connect, I get the "Connection interrupted" message (happens everytime and it is instantly)
  16. Ok so I tested. I don't have any packet loss. I tried a lot of servers and there are no problems on pingtest. Yet, I still have the problem. I can't see all the server at the same time. It was working well in DCS A10 and I have the problem since DCS World. Any idea? Cam'
  17. Hello. I will test as soon as I'm back home. But it could explain the problem. I am using BPL for my home connection. I guess they are the cause of the packet loss. Maybe using wifi will be better. I need to try it. A comment though: I never had the problem with DCS: BS or DCS: A10. The problems appeared in DCS World. Did you do any change that might explain it? Thanks. Cam'
  18. Hello all, I have a problem with the server list. When I click to do a new server list search, I got random list of servers. One time the list will contain 20 servers, the other time the list will contain only 5 servers... What is annoying, is that when I want to join a friend's server, I need to try 30-40 times before seeing it in the server list! I also tried to do a "Connect by IP" but I always get the "Connection interrupted" message. My internet connection is not really fast, but it should be enough to load a server list :) (2,5Mb/s) Is it a known problem? Is there a solution? Cheers, Cam'
  19. Nevermind. I found the problem. As usual it is located between keyboard and chair... :joystick: In my second try, I mixed up "aft" and "forward" command... so instead of "Slave all to SPI", I did everytime (except on first try) a "TGP to STP"... So the TGP went back on the waypoint. Is it normal though that the SPI is reset to the waypoint? Thanks for your help. I am feeling stupid right now :music_whistling: Cam'
  20. Ok I notice I can see the mission time. So I did my first kill at 12:29:45 Then you can go to 12:39 when I try to lock a tank. I set my SPI then I do a turn to go towards the tank. I select the mav, do the Slave all to SPI at 12:40 and it has no effect. My SPI has been reset on waypoint and TGP lost focus on tank. We can see the china hat aft long done on the throttle.
  21. Yeah sorry. I don't know how to specify exactly when it happens (the track miss a timeline :)). After takeoff, we went to the north and starting to do circles around the bullseye. Soon, I start a first attack on a shilka... everything is fine there. Then I go back to the bullseye. This is the time when I try to prepare a second attack and I have a problem. If the track is too long, I'll try to do a quick test another time to isolate the issue. Thanks Cam'
  22. Ok I got the same problem again. Here is the track of the multiplayer session of tonight. Don't know if you can use it... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8435797/client-20120405-214954.trk My nickname is Cam'. I first shoot a Shilka without any problem and then, I got the same problem than before. I set my SPI using the TGP, go to the MAV, and then try to slave it to SPI. The SPI is then reset and TGP lost focus... I did the same manipulation than before. I may have activated something else but I can't tell what. Thank you for your help. Cheers, Cam'
  23. It changed during a single mission... It was working at first and then not working anymore. @nomdeplume: It is the way I understand it. But this time it was not working properly... Anyway, I need a track to describe the problem clearly. Let's hope the problem will come back :p
  24. Yes i am using china hat long. I did not save the track. If it happens again, i'll do. Thanks anyway. Cam'
