    Hey guys,

     

    Maybe this question was asked several times but I could not finde something, yet.

     

    Is a guide available which tells how to extend the available commands?

    I'm asking because I would like to map the Radar Antenna Elevation of the F18 to a Button Box (printed according to a thread here in the forum).

    Thanks for your help, after trying to leveling my printer correct, the first case is almost done :D

     

    Could please someone give me photos of the wiring? Currently I try to figure out where to lead the cables out of the case to my arduinos.:smartass:

     

    Edit: Nevermind - I updated the models and modified it.

     

    As soon as I see it working properly (not before this weekend) I will keep you updated and upload my files as well - all credits remain to FoxDelta, very good idea! :)

    Hey guys,

     

    First, fantastic work fox!

    My 3d printer just arrived and - as soon as I am able to print with it :D - I would like to create this mod.

     

    I already created several components in Fusion360 but this is the first time I import something and the scale is waaaaay off - If I put it into Cura, it shows me 60cm in the Z-Axis.

     

    Do I have to scale the model?

    Did I mess up the import?

    I just clicked on "File - Open" and opened your *.STLs

    Edit: Nevermind, this is, as it seems, a bug in Fusion 360.

    I second this, an option to change the sensitivity of polling actions like trim and perhaps scrolling (on dials) would be greatly appreciated.

     

     

    Please! Last week I had to change QFE during formation flight and it was a huuuuge pain in the a*** because the altimeter changes so slowly :(

    fantastic work, I'm following this thread for several weeks trying to understand all you did.:smartass:

     

    Since I try to start the 3d printing also, I'm interested in the way how you "connect" your boxes with each other and especially to the warthog - Maybe you already posted some pictures and I did not see them yet.

    Is it some kind of "T"-Shape rail?

    Lighting is being worked on by the team, especially night lighting.
    Hey,

     

    Most of us know, but the question "how long will this one take?" remains.

     

    Obviously I know about the pressure, repriorization etc etc.... That's called software development.

     

    But could ED give us a workaround until this is fixed? Maybe unrealistic and bad looking lights... But lights! Something which is looking not great but which is usable until the pretty implementation is ready?

     

    Working on this topic is good, but if you think how long the lighting is Already in the current state, I can also understand the frustration.

     

    Maybe a developer has a nice "1 hour idea" which could be used as a workaround for the current time ;)

    Die Frage ist nunmal wie realistisch du das handhaben willst.

     

    Tanks werden nur im Notfall entsorgt, das einfliegen in eine high threat area ist KEIN Notfall. Ein ungeplanter dogfight(angesprungen werden) wäre hingegen einer.

    Aircrew Interviews is a good channel. Lots of Tomcat and twin seat stuff.

    Also Fighter Pilot Podcast and ( no kidding ) PeninsulaSrs have applicable talks.

     

    You may end up having to watch hours of videos for tens of minutes of relevant information. I dunno about you, but I'm interested in fighter jets, so it's not all that much of a chore :D

    One thing you probably won't get is a highly definitive answer in one place.

    Just a few remarks to destroy the "It's easy argumentation" above:

     

    - Landing Pattern in CASE 1/3; How the communcation looks like after a bolter?

    - Talking to Paddles?

     

    - BVR changing to WVR, communication to the flight outside the 10nm bubble and inside, who gives the calls? The priority changes from RIO to pilot, at least in terms of flying, but how's the communication really handled? Who calls what?

     

    It looks easy all the time and as soon as you really start to use the "RIO handles everything" in a mission, you'll quickly notice that it creates trouble in some situations.

    Is there no change in communication priority? Never?

    At least in WVR I doubt it (but don't know...).

     

    It's not that easy every time and "https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=f14+communication" delivers...nothing statisfying.

    So where are these "dozens of videos"?

    Hosting with IPv6 / Dualstack

    Hey guys,

     

    Is there someone who finally succeeded in creating a MP server, which can be seen in the list and can be joined?

     

    A few hours ago I tried to create a server, locally I could see it properly in the list, I could administrate the dedicated server via the web-tool but nobody could see it in the master list.

     

    What did I do?

     

    Created a server using the default port.

    Created a portmapper on https://www.feste-ip.net

    Added the IPv6 of my server to the portmapper

    Tried to check if the portmapper is working but got "Port is not opened"

    Nobody could see the server in the list, only I could see it with my gaming desktop in the same network

     

    I then tried to set the NAT-Filtering in my Netgear R7800 to "open", set the option to prevent DDOs to off (just for testing reasons....), basically opened the whole doors for 5 minutes and nada, feste-ip.net reported "Port closed" and nobody could see the server in the list and nobody was able to join via ipv6 or the forwarding I created in feste-ip.net

     

    If someone is able to host a dedicated server using an internet connection with IPV6 only - how the heck do you do it :D ?

    @ripper: You really think it is possible to continue developing features for a several years old module for free?

    Where shall the money come from?

    It is ED we are talking about, not blizzard or electronic arts.

     

     

     

    Go and take a look at other simulators which are much more expensive than dcs.

    Laser tracking behind moving target

    I can join this issue because our squadron had a buddy lasing evening and lasing moving targets was very difficult . I was in a Tomcat as pilot and had 5 hornets to my Rios disposal, he lasered very good (I watched the process the whole time) and in many cases a moving target was not hit. With the A10C this was never a problem, it was always a 100% hit.

     

    If you need the track file im sure I can provide it but it is really big - shall I PM this and upload it somewhere?

    Inzwischen scheint der Align-Countdown kein Pseudo Countdown mehr zu sein, denn das HUD funzt nicht so recht. Zumindest nicht was Navigation und Anstellwinkel usw. angeht. Zumindest seit dem letzten Update nicht mehr...
    Hatte ich vor ein paar Tagen geschrieben, es wurde nicht als Bug bezeichnet ;)

    [DCS BUG] Tanker not responding when flying with human RIO

    When flying online with host/client in the same plane, only the host can contact the tanker, whatever he's pilot or RIO.

    I don't know yet what happened if an other plane with client/client is present and try to contact the tanker.

    Nope, I was client and flew with the host as my pilot, I was able to contact tankers, carrier and airfields.

     

    But only after my reinstallation, as mentioned ;)
