My interest for combat aircraft came to me when i was 7 years old.
My Father was an weapons handler , working on the F-104G Starfighter of the German Navy ( MFG-1 ) , I heard lot's of stories regarding his experiences, and I got bitten by the model-building bug from then on.
Gradually i read more and more books, learned English to read more books , and when the computer age came, man..... the flight sim ( games....) era took of .
Flew the first Falcon by a friend , blue sky, green mountains ,pink ground , and the migs were just a bunch of pixels that had the shape of a mig-21 , fond memories : to do stuff you read about, and try it on the PC : like firing an aim-9 L head on and kill the mig !, I went from " gee, it REALLY works! "
The first gun kill , also very memorable , considering that you were banking and jinking with the keyboard ( man,o, man ! ) , and look were we are now: HOTAS,Rudders, Track IR !
