  1. I am having trouble getting the ACLS to couple with the ship. I have reviewed "Wag's" Tut on youtube many times. I have tried stock and private missions, as well as built my own. In Wag's video he is told to fly mode 2, but flys mode 1 anyway. He does not use a switch or command to change modes. On a user night mission the acl locks on and displays mode 1. ATC tells me to fly mode 2. It will not CPL in any version of a Case 3 mission I have tried. Is there a known bug? I have a Real life Commercial Pilot Lic. I have had DCS 15years and a bit. I have been sim flying since the Black and white Microsoft from the late 80's. "Mac in a backpack" I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football Lucy is holding.
  2. Just amazed by the response to this post!!! As a note, you can have bambie buckets as a cargo from one of the mods, and adjust the weight. The most recent update also has a trigger to stop a "fire effect". So in regards to making a mission with helo's and buckets, triggered actions could start some spot fires, then require the hover parameters to be met, cancel the smoke and fire effect. Then trigger a white smoke effect (Steam). The first page of this post shows an SAR server, they have a neat script. Even without a 3rd party MOD for a CL-415, or special effects for the Helo's water buckets, I think there is an ability to make some cool scenarios. I have some ability with the mission editor and it's triggers, but not with scripting. There should be enough talent out there to get a MOD together, that brings these existing options together. If I win the lottery, I will pay a 3rd party to make the CL-415 DCS quality. Final note: To all those quoting "Combat Sim", somebody has to put out the fires that War causes.
  3. If I were to win a lottery, would a design team consider a forest fire fighting mod. In the least a water drop animation for the bambi-buckets. And the ability to put out a fire and smoke effect, swapping it with a steam effect. The big wish would be the CL-415 water bomber, and a water/retardant drop effect to go with it.
  4. SO along this topic. I set a mission with 4 tgts, spaced so I could see them all in the tgp fov. In too mode I programed each bru-55 with too1 and too2 coord's. When all was in range, I launched one after the other so all four were in the air. The first three missed and the last went right where it should. Did I simply miss undesignating after the 4th bomb was set? Going to try now... anybody else's results/method would be nice to hear of. Tremclad.
  5. Thanks. I suspected something like that, the "AW Shoot" fail message was confusing. Time to brush-up on formation flying. Too much Rambo time I guess.
  6. Just purchased the campaign. After takeoff, following all instructions.... nearing Air Carrier, as co-pilot switches on lights. Suddenly rpm drops right out and crash to ocean. I have been flying uh-1h for hundreds of hrs, I know my rpm limits. After action report only shows "AW Shoot" as reason for crash? Help?!:cry:
  7. Is there anybody out there that could direct me to an .obj file for the L-39? Anything compatible for Z-brush 4r7. The model will only be used to experiment with paint schemes.
