  1. Thank you very much Glowing_Amraam! I am very honored by receiving Your reply. I have seen some of Your movies and I am very impressed. Now, when I have received a straight answer from an expert, I can be sure that there is no real-time moving camera tracking a plane. However I would be very happy if ED adds this kind of cameras in the next edition of the very best modern air combat simulator series... After all one can easily (without much processing) calculate tangent of the curve/path at a certain point in real time, and having speed and altitude of the plane one can have this effect in the real time. However I do not know how do I " Save this as a track"? When I quit a flight and press the SAVE button it offers me to save a STATE file not a TRACK file. Is it possible to add different cameras AFTER the flight was made? I mean I save the flight as a TRACK file, and then I put several cameras and record all the outputs from all the cameras? Thank You again! king regards!
  2. Hi, Is it possible to make a flight, record it, then set several independent cameras (some of them still cameras, some of them tracking the plane), and afterwards record all the output from the cameras? I doubt that LockOn can do this but just to be sure... :) thank you! best regards!
  3. Dear LockOn players, I am wondering is there a possibility to have a camera that tracks a plane (like F3 camera does) but moves indepedently of the plane (instead of being still as F3 camera), for example at the same speed, the same altitude as the plane and the linear path (tangent of the current plane's path)? When the plane changes its direction (e.g. it rolls over and goes down at the angle 45°) the camera continues to move linearly at the same speed and altitude the plane had moved before it changed its direction, and at the same time it tracks the plane as F3 camera. thank you for your answer! kind regards
  4. Thank you both for your answers. I do not like lowering of F3 camera by adjusting F2 camera and then CTRL-F3, since F2 should be independent + I need frequent F3 view (i.e. no time for adjustment of F2 view). In addition F2 view is not bound to the plane orientation (i.e. left-wing) and looks always to the same side of the outer world (i.e. south or west or…). Anyway, I shall consider that issues 2 and 3 are closed. However 1 and 4 are still open. I think that this very great simulation needs better adjustment of all the camera positions on the user interface.
  5. 1) Does anyone know how to control camera altitude for F3 (Fly-By view)? What I want to achieve is to lower the camera position. When an aircraft goes straight without changing altitude, F3 puts the external camera several meters ABOVE the aircraft. I prefer the same look BELOW the plane. Is it possible to achieve lowering camera position for F3 view by manipulating info in LUA files in ..\Lock On\Config\View folder? 2) I have achieved to lower the camera position for F11 view by setting CameraTerrainRestriction = false in Sever.lua file in ..\Lock On\Config\View folder. However the camera can go below the ground level. Is it possible to restrict the camera to 0 meters (or 1 meter) above the ground? 3) F3 view provides still camera that tracks the plane, but its position depends on the aircraft. On the other side F11 (Tower & Terrain View) provides also still camera whose position is fixed (i.e. does not depend on any aircraft position) however that camera does not follow any aircraft. Is it possible to have F11 camera automatically tracking an aircraft? 4) According to keycommands.doc Ctrl-(Key Pad 1-9) “moves camera instead of rotate it” in “EXTERNAL VIEW CONTROL”. However it does not work! Is this a bug or…? I have achieved to put F4 (Rear View) camera position by manipulating GetRearCameraPosition function in Server.lua file but it implies that I have to change the file every time I want different F4 view. With moving camera with Ctrl-(Key Pad 1-9) combination it would be much easier… thank you in advance for your help!
