  1. Haha! Here you go ;) 45°32'58.48" N 73°35'34.87" W Regards.
  2. Hi Folks, First, thanks for the input. I have done some reading of the Su-25t manual (plus training videos) and indeed, it seems less complex. I will take a deeper look at it when time permit. I also need to setup my HOTAS to work correctly, I did not spend 500$ for nothing! Also, thanks for willing to help me out. Basically, in A10C, it's really the Combat / Missiles systems that drives me crazy. I did try the training, but for some reason, the result is not always as the trainer expected ! :) Best regards from Canada, Delerium
  3. Hi to everyone, First of, DCS, nice Job! I bought A-10C (and the HOTAS) a while back, the Sim is solid, graphics are nice... but I must admit that the learning curve is taking more time than I have as a hobby. I was wondering if FC3 would be a easier, on the learning process? Thanks, Best regard from Canada ;) Delerium
  4. Hi guys, Thanks alot for all your great input (HOTAS diagrams, firmware update). I didn't have time to fly alot this week, work being my priority for now. I'll keep you update on how my training goes... This FlightSim is pretty complex! Thanks, see ya soon!
  5. Thanks! Just printed out the pages and it's exactly what I was looking for ... Of course, I'm a bit lazy since my playing time is little bit short... Next training will be the combat... even thought I don't remember all the steps to start the plane ;) Thanks buddy!
  6. Hi Guys, Well... the door bell rang this afternoon with this heavy box (the delivery man almost laugh at me when I tried to pick it up!!!) ... Sure enough, it was my HOTAS! Working at home, I had to push the box back in my room and trying to focus on my work. Didn't work... let's open that package and see *THE THING* ... Gossshh... It's huge, solid, heavy, very impressed with the built quality. For that, I would like to thanks all of you who recommended this HOTAS, I only did 2 flights (2 landing training, since I'm new to the sim) and I do love the feel of the stick, even if I was surprise how much pressure you have to put on it to make it move. I was wondering if someone have a quick guide / chart of what all the button / hat / etc / etc are used for. I'm not too familiar with the terms like TMS, CMS, DMS, RDR ALTM, EAC, Engine Overrive, and so on..... I know it's probably all on the 900 pages of the manual, but I was just wondering if someone have a quick startup guide to start. :pilotfly: Again, appreciated. Regards, Delerium
  7. Ho well.... I could not resist... I just press the "CheckOut" button... So I should receive my TM HOTAS in 5-6 business days! I would like to thanks all of you for answering my (maybe stupid or boring) questions in a very positive ways. (btw... more to come!!!) BCS-A10 is quite a learning step, I found the training helpful, but maybe a bit too fast, with more acronyms that I can handle... So I do it 2-3-4 times to better understand everything... Anyhow... Thanks again guys, appreciated... I will let you know once the package is at home! Regards, Delerium
  8. Hi Guys, I'm 2 clicks away of ordering the TM HOTAS... But I have last one: I see the flightsick is mounted of a flat metal base. Is it stable enough or I have to "screw" it ? Thanks, like always.
  9. Wooow... You guys are a very helpful community! I also stumble on the Saitek X65-F... I know that the TM HOTAS Warthdog is mostly built for DCS A-10 but since I'm also using FSX, the saitek seems **maybe** more versatile. I have read a thread on this but it's 1 years one so I wonder what's your thought about this in 2011! ;) I see the X65-F is about 450$ CDN, while the TM HOTAS Warthdog is around 500-520 CDN$. Unless you know a good place in Canada to buy (online if possible). Thanks guys!
  10. Thanks again! I will try this later tonight (if time permit) ... But after reading your comments, I think buying the TM HOTAS is the way to go... (hey... why do we have a credit card for?) :) That being said, with the HOTAS, how easy it is to keep altitude? I mean, does the joystick stay in place when you stop touching it so it keep your current hdg / alt ? Thanks all again ... And I thought FSX was a learning curve!!! ;)
  11. Woooww! Thanks guys for all those quick answer, really appreciated. I have try the autopolit, which doesn't seems to work... .I have read that the autopilot will only engage if you are not banking too much, etc, etc, ... but I didn't find any light, indicator if the AP is on or not? Is it located somewhere? Also another little one, is there a way to zoom into the cockpit? It's a bit hard to read the label of each buttons/selectors. Thanks!
  12. Hi Guys, Just bought this Sim yesterday and it looks gooooddd! I've use to be a FSX user for a couple of month. Little (maybe stupid) question: - Is there a way to easily maintain altitude? I'm using a analog gamepad so the stick always go back to the center, making it hard to keep altitude... I'm planning on buying the TM HOTAS in a couple of week but meanwhile... is there a way to do so? Thanks, have a good day.
