I had this very issue on the cold start, as part of the checks it actually has some cockpit items you do have to adjust as part of that check list. It messes you up because it being checks, you don't think you need to do anything, but you do. The first one you need to adjust is on the lighting panel, back left. There are maybe 1 or 2 more switches to adjust. They will all be highlighted. Since the first one is back and to the left it's easy to miss.
Once adjusted you can proceed.
