  1. I have the exact same issue. I haven't played with the P-51 since DCS world was released, so I don't know when the problem started...
  2. I agree with Chris. Try setting your X and Y Curves to about 12 and you'll see a major improvement : )
  3. Darkening the snow would simply mean multiplying the flake texture with the daylight value interpreted on a scale of 0 to 255. I'm guessing this is a work in progress. It's not a huge deal, I just find it very annoying that all I can see at night is snow, especially when using NVGs 213 - Looks to me like the snow is generated with a particle emitter (aka sprite emitter) that is tied to the camera's movement. I imagine it's 3 dimensional because the engine can calculate where the flakes are coming into contact with the ground. Also note how the emitters change as you start pointing your camera straight up or down. The game has to load in a top view or bottom view emitter : ) Mustang- Cool mod

I own both Black Shark and A-10C, but I'm still mastering the shark so haven't given the hog much time yet :) I currently do freelance work in the video games industry as a character/environment artist, so I might take a stab at modding the DCS games. Thanks ED for the great sims, and I look forward to your future games.
  6. Sorry to beat a dead horse, but what exactly does remodeling the cockpit mean? Is this the scripting model that would have to be rewritten to make the buttons and switches work with the updated engine, or would the geometry have to be reworked? I have never worked on a DCS game, so I have no insight into the technical issues, but if it's the latter, can't a proxy model be used to generate shadows like with the exterior model? I'm sure ED has thought of all this stuff so if they don't incorporate dynamic shadows into the Ka-50 cockpit it's for good reasons. Just wanted to ask because it would add a lot to the immersion of the sim with rotor blade shadows and stuff in the cockpit :) Anyways, I wish the team good luck with the compatibility patch!
