VRS Intellivibe with 1.2.3

Yes, that is correct. Basically, you want to get helios working and then add the following line to the file: intelliVIBE = true We have been really busy this last week. Thanks for helping out JG14_Smil. I'll try and check back soon. Rob -

I turned off the security questions for now at least. We are going to revisit that in the near future. To many are people are having issues with it though, so it's gone for now. The Expansion zones are mono. You need a 1.3mm barrel plug connector to fit the jack on the pcb. Then you can connect one or two motors to that zone. If you connect 2 they will both do the same thing, you just get more power. I'm trying to get you a drawing to help you connect it up. I'm just overwhelmed right now. I'll get it to you as soon as I can. Rob -

You are welcome Tom :) Let me know if you need anything else. Rob P.S. I have installed another theme or two for our forum. I know some of you didn't like the red fonts, so please go look at the other options. You can change the theme in your user profile. If anyone has other theme suggestions, just let us know. -

Are you using the stand alone FC3(Did that even get released?)? Or the FC3 planes in DCS World? I'm going to take a guess and say DCS World. To get the TFS3 and helios working with DCS World 1.2.3, take the helios file that works and just add the following line to the top or bottom and save: intelliVIBE = true There are tfs files for the FC3 planes, look for the following file names in your tfs file folder: DCS_World_default_FC3-A-10A.tfs DCS_World_default_FC3-F-15C.tfs DCS_World_default_FC3-MiG-29S.tfs DCS_World_default_FC3-Su-25.tfs DCS_World_default_FC3-Su-27.tfs DCS_World_default_FC3-Su-33.tfs Rob -

Yes, you can do that. In fact each expansion zone is capable of driving two of those motors. One caveat though, you must get the polarity of the connection correct. There is a small snubber circuit on the motor to keep noise from the motor being radiated and causing interference. Part of that snubber circuit is a diode, if you connect it the wrong way you will let the magic smoke out of either the output chip or that diode. I will see if I can draw you a diagram that will help you connect it up. I'm overwhelmed right now, so it may take a day or so. I'm also talking to craig about bringing more testers on-board today. I'll get back to you on that. Thank you. That was a good laugh and after last week I needed that! -

The new version is out. http://www.ivibe.com/index.php?page=downloads BTW, the older versions are never deleted from the server. You can edit the link in the address bar of your browser to get older versions. Example. link to newest version: http://www.ivibe.com/downloads/TFS3/TFS3ControlPanel_V1.9.271_Setup.exe link to the version just before I broke it  http://www.ivibe.com/downloads/TFS3/TFS3ControlPanel_V1.9.256_Setup.exe I will add archive links to older versions to my to do list. Apologies for all the trouble. -

AHH! Yes the gauges always read the same. The translator is translating from whatever units the game uses to the units on the gauges. When I get time I do plan on adding a setting to change the gauge units. Gotcha. I will talk to craig about this. He does nearly all of the effects. Thank you for picking that up. I'm glad you are getting more comfortable with all the settings. We are trying very hard to get all the features everyone wants, we are just two guys working on it though. It will get here, just takes more time than I'd like. The expansion zones never worked right in the old TFS. They do work in the new TFS3 though! We just have to write the software, for the PC side, to control them. -

Have you updated to the latest version? There is a preset dropdown at the top of the translator window. Just choose DCS World and your good to go. We take in six axes worth of data. I'm not sure I understand what you are asking for though. Do you want an effect when you are flying sideways? Forces less than 6Gs are rendered by the appropriate axis' G-Force algorithm. The collision algorithm is reserved for large crashes, and has an appropriately large effect. The car does have a vertical G Force algorithm, but the plane and helicopter do not yet. We will get that in as soon as possible. Yes, a helo routine is coming as well. We need a few more data points for things like the rotor rpm, and a few other things to finish the helo routine. The runway surface is a bug! I'll add that to our bug tracker. We are currently working on a release for Audiosense. We expect it to be out in a few weeks. We will address these issues in the release after that. Audiosense is a fairly large release, but fixing those issues won't take long after that is out of the way. I'm happy you're enjoying your TFS3 again :) Rob -

Hi JG14_Smil, Open your device manager and check the driver version for the TFS3. It should be version 1.2.6 for the latest releases of the control panel. We updated the driver in the one of the last few releases and if your driver is the older version (1.2.0), you will need to update it. The driver files are installed under the main program folder. Just hit update driver and point it to the "../Program Files/VRF/TFS3 Control Panel/Drivers" folder and it should update your driver. I'll check back soon to see how it goes. P.S. We revamped the signup process for our forums. If you had trouble signing up in the past, please give it another go. Rob -

If helios stops working you might need to merge their Export.lua file with ours. Just put the helios Export.lua file back in the scripts folder, then with notepad2 or notpad++ edit the helios Export.lua file. At the very top of the file add the line: intelliVIBE = true That should enable helios and the TFS3. The TFS3 should perform better than the TFS2 ever could. I suspect you have some settings out of whack. I'm thinking it might be better to move that discussion to our forum @ www.ivibe.com/forums We are happy to help get your TFS3 in proper working order. -

Ok, here is the deal. ED moved its configuration folders in this release. To get the TFS3 working again with DCS World 1.2.3 follow these steps: 1) Find the new location for the config files. It is somewhat dependent on which version of windows you are running. A) Windows XP the folder should be located at: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\My Games\DCS. B) Windows Vista, 7, and 8 the folder should be located at: C:\Users\YourUserName\Saved Games\DCS. 2) Once you have located the proper folder, create a new folder called: "Scripts". You should have a path that looks like: .....\DCS\Scripts 3) Download the Export.lua file attached to this post and put it in the scripts folder you just created. 4) Play DCS World! We will get the new script put up on the downloads page shortly, as well as the new instructions for the support page. Let us know if you have any issues. Rob Export.lua -

Hi everyone, This is Rob. We were notified today that intellivibe was not working with the latest DCS World release. We are looking into it now. It looks like ED has moved the config.lua file needed to activate intellivibe. There are a couple of threads about it on this forum. Before we write up a new procedure to activate it, we want to test it first, but it requires finishing the download of the new DCS World installer(going to take a few hours I think). We are updating our forum with news and will also post back here once everything is working again. Rob
