  1. DCS world on steam, using non-steam modules Ok, so I understand that valve have closed the door on using keys bough here to register on steam. But does this mean I can't use modules bought here in the steam version of DCS world at all? I don't care if I don't show the modules in my steam games list, or whatever, but I am looking at this sale and a couple of modules I REALLY want. But I use steam. Please tell me there is some kind of workaround
  2. Of course I did. I might be a noob, but I'm not THAT noob. But I appreciate why you are reminding people.
  3. That did it, thanks guys
  4. I put in this ticket almost a week ago, and the automated response said I would receive a reply in a couple of days, but still nothing. I have recently installed some new hardware, namely a CPU and GPU. Now I reinstall BS2 upgrade version, along with DCS world, and it says that my key is no longer valid because of hardware changes. I need to sort this, as I can't play BS2 anymore, and I find it ridiculous that it is throwing such a fit over an upgraded system. I mean, I read somewhere that these keys should last "for years", but does that mean we can't upgrade our systems in that time? Maybe I could have deactivated the key, but since my system died, I couldn't use it until I had installed the new hardware, and now it won't LET ME deactivate, because it says there has been "significant hardware changes" made, meaning the serial is invalid, and can neither be activated OR deactivated because it basically no longer works in any capacity. Someone help me, please.
  5. Ah, that's you is it? Accepted then. Thanks for the help. I also notice you are in the BS game group on steam as well.
  6. I think this is one of the groups I joined the other day, not positive. Has 116 members, right? I joined, and I think I had a friend invite from someone there, hopefully they will be able to help me out in-game sometimes. Also, once I am getting better, what is the best way of finding like-minded (and like-skilled of course) players for co-op missions? Actually, I do believe that friend invite was from YOU Slazi, right? Accepted anyway, cheers
  7. I'm UK, GMT london. Very helpful stuff so far guys, thanks a bunch. You guys aren't nearly as "elitis" as I had been led to believe. I also got a copy of FSX. Is this a good starting point for new "Pilots"? I did the first few tutorials, and found them nice and simple, but with good realism in the flight mechanics. Even the wind blowing around my little microlight is very immersive. Just worried the difficulty will spike too steeply for me sometime soon. But so far so good with FSX. I haven't done much with black shark yet though, other than a couple of early missions in game mode, which is STILL tricky sometimes. Is there perhaps a happy medium between game and sim in BS? I mostly find game easily simple enough for me, and would like to know how to add more realism, and WHICH things to enable first to help me getting used to it. I also got A-10C, but haven't had much luck with that. I can't even pull off the 180 degree turn in the tutorial first mission. Don't know why, but when I get to 180 it says I failed. Maybe my speed changed too much or I went to high or low? Oh well, still fun. But BS is my fave. Never thought a heli sim would interest me this much, but it really is good. Are there any other heli sims out there similar? When I say similar I mean that you can turn realism down some so as to get used to it first.
  8. I just bought black shark. I am VERY new to ultra realistic flight sims, and have been playing on game mode. LOVING it so far. Problem is that I just have absolutely no idea where to begin with the sim mode. I am asking if anyone fancies themselves a flight teacher? I mean in the way that we would fly missions with no combat operations (to begin with at least), and who would fly alongside me and help me get to grips with the (gazillion different) controls. I really have no idea what the hell I am doing otherwise, and think that some co-op with someone patient enough to show me the ropes would be the quickest, easiest, and smartest way of learning. Thanks in advance, though I know I am probably asking in vain. Anyone who is interested, P.M me please.
