Guys, do you really think the A-10C is 100% accurate to the real one.
yeah , but a lot of folks here think it is. Form my POV I dont even know how a real A-10C nor a F-35 will ever fly. So even if it is modeled 10,20 or 30%. If the systems are logical and it makes sense then it is fine for me.
is a study sim dead , i dont think so seeing how much is still being developed, new platforms opening up etc. They same thing can be said about space "sim" games. The big crowd wants hollywood games but there is a smaller more loyal crowd (with way more funds) that likes games that are out of the box. look at Minecraft, World of tanks and our own DCS World.
Wll DCS World ever be a main stream game where kiddies go play ? Nope

I think it will run since you can set any res you want. If it runs on your setup doubtfull. One dcs doest support dual gpu very well. its possible but not recommend. Second the 670 is a mainstream card more or less.
if you are gonna do it i suggest a Titan or the 780 from geforce.
They only thing i would be thinking about if nvidia surround can handle 5 screen. Because it was only intended for triple screen. Also you will run out of display connectors on a card.
Proably PeterP can say if softth will overcome this. lol sniped by him already

I'm sure quite a few will be a bit shocked when the Hawk comes along and they have to learn real navigation, let alone how to fly and land without a HUD. Or perform an instrument depature/approach. :D
Well that I see that as a challenge. But now You get to see my screw up from the backseat in realtime :D

Yeah thats correct. Chris (the designer) fixed that in the revolution but for Ozone there are some modifications to the frame. I believe I saw some on simhq in the ozone review thread.

No, paveway II is not that intelligent. If the spot is lost, the control surfaces will simply remain in the "straight ahead" position which means that the bomb will go ballistic, that is, it will (depending on it's orientation when the laser spot was lost) continue on a more or less ballistic path.

Ahhh I know what you mean now. Well from what I know if the bomb tracks teh laser then it wil already correct towards it. If the laser is shutdown / or is obstructed by that wall it will go dumb. But i think the flight path will remain towards the last postion the bomb was pointed towards. It wont be precises tho .

Can the bomb actually go blind in DCS World because the laser hits the other side of the target?
yup it's modeled. hence why you cant just pull off target when lasing for your bomb. When the TGP is masked so is the laser.
You can even steer the bomb towards a second target if you like

You still remain mine A-10C Air crew chief god. Still love the stories heard from ppl working on A-10's or any other flight crew for that matter.

Look at an i5 3570k plus a MSI z77a-G45 motherboard. And ram i leave for you. But the motherboard is quite good since it even has an Overclock feature plus you can get into bios within windows.
Anyways I am more an intel fanboy and they qork quite well and for good prive. indeed i7 is overrated and useless for games as almost no game uses hyperthreading.
Too reduce lag one could also look into an SSD so the data feed into the beast isnt slowed down by an ancient HDD
Plus the I5+motherboard is around 300-400 euro and quite cheap

I got the same . My A-10C key is from steam and not linked to my account to play multiplay. I dont know if i can add this or not.
But sim works just as fine and as long as it does i dont care what the module manager says

How hard it is to script ATC not to tell you the same runway in 99% of cases?
I do completely agree with having a better ATC but ofc ATC calls 99% the same runway as the wind direction wont change in DCS anytime soon.
So if you have a runway with say heading 090 and 270 . Wind direction is 268 7m/s for example it will tell you to take runway 27 ofc because taking off in the wind gives better lift.
So actually ATC is trying to get all player planes at the same heading but if every players ignores that then yeah it gets messy. thats why server have the left right rule.
What you can do to overcome the poor ATC is assume the airfiled is uncontrolled and tell your intentions on the airbase freq.

it comes in ebook and explain the basic very nice and understandable. He also tell how too look for flight schools etc etc

one thing to consider with gaming laptops is that the GPU is always one step behind of itś desktop partner. I did run a M17x rev 3 with ati HD6990m and it pumped out nice frames without too much hassle.
Be wary of heat btw so addiontal laptop cooler is advised.
But other then that yeah it is possible without much pain

For now IRIS mentoined some FC3 lvl aircraft like F-14 and F-22 and VEAO is discussing a FC3 version of DCS: HAWK (which you left out btw)
There is even more coming and proably DCS-F18 is in the works paralell to F-15 and Su-27.
One other think i rather would like to see is how far is EDGE and are there new terrain developers with some screenies.

Actually I find the DCS website crap tbh too. Seems they pumped out some nice product. :megalol:
