  1. When you start up your CDU [Right Panel], let it warm up before you press NAV. That will enable you to arm the EAC. And also use the autopilot. It will take a minute or two before its warm and cozy. You know it's ready when you can read out 4.(xxxxxx) on the CDU.
  2. Hmm in that case it sounds interesting. But I need the X52 first. :)
  3. I'm not a big fan of the Ka-50 though and I don't like the russian panels. Or can I have English labels? If they release an Apache or Supercobra, then I'm home. It would be great in MP. AI gunner - not so much.
  4. Thanks Total! I think I'll go with the standard X52.
  5. I only have a Xbox360-like gamepad and feel that it... Yeah, it sucks. It's easier using the keyboard and the mouse. So I need a cheap joystick that works OK with DCS A-10C. * Cheap, maybe around 50 bucks if possible. * Better than my gamepad. * Easy to config. I don't want to spend 20h with scripting and such. :) (I bought the game today.)
  6. Ok guys, I got this game today and played the tutorials + watched at some videos on youtube and felt that's a good time to post some vids of my own. Nothing new, nothing fancy. If you've seen a lot of start up/newbie vids this is nothing for you. :) Part 1 - Settings and Startup Many mistakes of course and pretty slow. But I killed those warning lights. Part 2 - Take off Maybe the easiest part to learn? Part 3 - Landing Haha, what's up with the runways in Norway? Too short for me. I need a chopper or a harrier to land on these. :) Also, I don't have a joystick yet. Only my kb+mouse and a gamepad which I didn't use. :music_whistling: Feel free to give me some advice on that. Cheap useful joystick. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2D73E6A198AC8D8F&feature=view_all
  7. Sounds interesting! I just have to learn the basics first and get my joystick. :)
  8. Yeah, I have always liked the idea of simulators but this is my first real flight sim. Other than testing demos and such in the past. Just now I'm trying to learn the basics. I can start up, take off and sometimes land the bird. But when it comes to navigating, using the weapons, tacticts, rules of engagement I have no clue at all. :) I have played some Arma 2 (mostly warfare though) and pretty interested in military vehicles and aircrafts - perhaps more into choppers than planes. Anyway, maybe that helps me at least a little in this journey learning to master the A-10. :)
  9. Thanks! Just tested this (LAN) and it seemed to work out good. No crashes other than my plane. :) Had to figure out Modman though. Well now I know how it works.
  10. I've seen a lot of Giant Bomb and they actually made me buy this game. I loved how "real" the game looked and worked. And maybe the best QL they ever made.
  11. Ok, I will check that out. Live streaming makes it more exciting imo.
  12. Nice find! But it would be more interesting if you could play as the mechanic. :) Oil up the machinery, fix electric breakdowns, calm down people stuck in the elevator and so on.
  13. Yo everybody! I'm new to this game and this site. And pretty new to flying simulators too.
