Hi. I downloaded the training videos and used this thread as a guide. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94397 I hit 7, pressed d, pressed o to set up the tv and moved the square over a target and hit the return key. When I get within distance I hear the computer repeating "launch authorized". I tap the space bar and rep click the fire button on my joystick but nothing seems to be firing. Any idea what im doing wrong? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure auto-pilot was off. Although when I turn left or right the helicopter seems dog determed to return back to the same position. I'm gussin it's probably one of the blue buttons used for handling the helicopter causing this?

When I'm using the auto-head movement tracking (makes the helicopter turn to my target while using my head-peice aim) it seems to work for a while then just stop working. Any idea whats up their? The Helicopter isn't damages. It just seems to stop working after a while.

It was cheap and the reviews seemed mostly positive. Just looking for something that does the job than something someone more into these types of games would buy.

The joystick I bought works but it's not picking up the thruster. Turned auto-hover off and attempted to follow the fellow in the video by keeping it level while dropping vertically down 5 at a steady speed than gently pulling up to slow forward momentum. Seems alot better I think, although can barely line up with the airfield strip, always squinting. I downloaded it the other day, both Black Shark 2 and BackShark seem to have seperate folders and exe's. The one I run from steam uses the Blackshark exe and the one I run from the folder uses the Blackshark2 exe. But yea, if you are running steam it works.

Thank you. This seems to have fixed the problem. While the helicopter still moves it's much slower and eventually stops. Thanks, this seems alot more intuitive.

Ok I see. Other thing I wanted to ask, I can now land the helicopter but when I land on the airfield my wheels go crazy. I hit W to try slow then down and shift+W but most the the time the helicopter goes right off the airway onto the terrian and tips over. I try to turn the engines off but by the time I go to click them the helicopter is a gonner.

In Black Shark 1 when I hit alt+c I can get a vision mode that allows me to use head movement and drag the curser around operate stuff. In Black Shark 2 I am constantly needing to re-hit alt-c to go static in order to do this. Are you no longer able to do this with black shark 2?

I downloaded Black Shark 2 but the graphics options are capped at med and it wont allow HDR to be turned on. Any idea whats going on?

Bro it's coo. if you scroll back a page or two the problem was the custom level downloaded designed for training. You start off with 0 fuel and need to call it in from maintenance. More of less (probably less) know the basics of taking off. Conisdering I'v had it for only 2-3 days and no nowt about sims before hand, i'd say thats pretty good progress. Very satifying as well.

Thanks for the info, will probably pick it up. Too bad you can't get it on steam though. Seems odd considering you can buy DLC for games. Also allowed GFWL and Ubiplay to run through it.

Thats quite cool. If something like that was made into simple interactive flash type program I imagine it could be quite useful for flight sim simpletons such as myself. Does Black Shark 2 work with steam? Is it worth picking up as well? I read they couldn't put it on steam for some odd legal type reason.

The main problem seems to be comprehending than flying. User videos seem more helpful than the ones the developer put out as the manual seems to mainly use keyboard shortcuts rather than showing you what to click on. The developer video as well uses a radio type voice which can be difficult to decipher at times esp considering the rate at which the video goes. I'll check out that link, thank you.

Guess what it was? After 3 hours, I realized the training mission I was on, didn''t start you with fuel. haha. So, after ordering a re-fuel, worked first time. Easy peasy. Oh man. *face palm* Thanks for the help . *thumbs up*

Hello, I recently picked Blackshark off steam a couple of days ago during the sale. The 500 page manual was over-welming (i know nothing about sims) but this fellows helpful guide has me up and shooting within hours. The problem I have at the moment, it seems most missions you don't need to do any prep for startup but I want to learn how to do it. I followed youtube video step by step but when I fire the "start" on the engine, it seems to starts up for a few seconds then just turns off again. I'm kinda unsure exactly what i'm doing wrong.
