  1. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just not bonding the two plastics well. Hot glue should fill in all the cracks. I'll have to run and borrow my mom's glue gun. ;) No real rush though... I'm not sure I'm going to use this until my Obutto arrives at the end of the month.
  2. Well, I've got it working. All buttons respond properly. The only thing is when I removed the extension, the PS2 cable I had glued in popped loose. I'll have to get ahold of a hot glue gun and see if that works better than Gorilla Glue. I'll let you know, Zahry. If this doesn't work, I may need a new cable and connector.
  3. Good timing for you, I just got home from work and was working on my extension. :) Yes, my extension will screw onto the Warthog base. I replaced the rounded-head screws with flat-headed ones, though Zahry's tip about drilling it out a little bit should work if you don't have appropriate screws. The connection between the extension and the WH base is good. I'm working on getting the other end of the PS2 cable to protrude sufficiently for a connection to the handle. I have it protruding enough, I'm just waiting for my Gorilla Glue to dry.
  4. Well I've given up for now... Zahry, if you're around, please pipe in.
  5. I had some similar sized screws with flat heads instead of rounded. That should work, but since the end going into the handle won't connect, I'm stuck. Tried splicing my PS2 cable... can't get it to connect and I'm scared pins on the handle are going to end up breaking.
  6. Well I could but it's 6 feet... I'd have to cut that down. I'll give it a shot.
  7. The handle-end of the extension cable is hot glued into the plastic bit that has the handle thread on it. I pulled out the hot glue with needle nose pliers and the extension cable itself is ok. The problem is the hole that it comes out of is not big enough to allow the extension cable to protrude sufficiently for a connection to the handle.
  8. I pulled out a regular PS/2 extension cable and modified as you said in the thread at SimHQ and put it in between the base and the handle and it works. I then hooked the extension's cable to the base, and my PS2 cable from the extension to the handle. That works. I'm starting to conclude that the extension is not making a connection with the handle. By the way, if you didn't know, my screen name everywhere else is RogueSqdn.
  9. Right now there are not any screws, because I have the extension apart and simply have the PS2 cable plugged in on both ends.
  10. PS2 cable doesn't seem to be connecting. I'm getting all buttons active in the Device Analyzer as if the handle wasn't hooked up.
  11. Just got mine, but having trouble getting it to screw onto the Warthog base. Any ideas? EDIT: Problem appears to be the screws used to hold the PS2 connector onto the extension. They have round heads and are stopping the extension from making a secure connection. Should I use flattened headed screws (if so, what size), or will the connection stick without those two screws?
  12. Ordered! Also ordering an Obutto R3volution today, so when it comes (in February probably) I'll be using the extension with that. I ordered 10cm, but if that turns out to be too long for me, will I be able to hacksaw off what I don't need?
  13. The Buy Now button only takes me to PayPal's homepage without any purchase information. I am on my iPhone. Would that make a difference?
  14. I'm using CH Pro Pedals and made a script to execute a DX button whenever either pedal is pushed down more than 50% and then assigned both of those DX buttons to wheelbrakes in FC3. It's not analog differential wheel brakes, but it's better than having a held down keystroke, especially if my feet hit the pedals when I'm doing something else!
