DCS Remote Server Control or Standalone Server Seems those terms are being used interchangeably here..Even though they are completely different animals!!! All I have seen is,a, DCS Remote Server Control, added to the Sim files.. Nice,, thank you,, Scoured downloads looking for a Standalone server download, to no avail.. So I assume you haven't made one yet.. So when are you going to release a "Standalone Server app?? The cause is the two KNEEBOARD forder in your huge persian map mission ZIP file. YEP,, that was it. Yes it's a huge long one. The rest in this campaign /series, I am creating are limited now to 6 hrs approx not so big. THANK YOU all for helping !!! Core Issue When the game loads it attempts to clear out that temp directory but can't and thus the error is generated. But this not the core ISSUE. Is it? WHY crash & lock up in the EDITOR while attempting to SAVE..freeze & hang ?? ThePutzer

Why the "Crash" when go to SAVE ?? Thank you will remove//rename in the app data. Are you saying the Kneeboard is causing the CRASH in this mission,? (when SAVE function is clicked?????? Were you able to EDIT and SAVE this Mission???? OR Did you just figure out How to Restore the game?

Not only will it not save Mission but it Corrupts the units with that DickKey error.After several attempts to save DCS locks up. AND then will not open up again after log in, the files get so corrupted I have had to re install DCS several times now !! I will attach all pertinent files. Even 2 diff support Techs did not figure it out. If a interested party saw the non-support they gave me they would Not give DSC a second look.. So many stupid Qs and repeat...

Nope did not help Tried renaming, made no difference. Update: Since my last message, I uninstalled 2.5beta. I then installed the standard 2.5.. So after Log in , DCS loads right up.. I then Uninstalled the reg 2.5 and then installed the 2.5 beta again. Logged in and looking at the loading screen Stuck at 10% Again! Fresh Install Freezes @ 10%. This happened also after lock up in editor. I tried all day running repairs and restarts, after lock up in editor game would not load. Since last update I have seen this message on server so many times it is ridiculous. It takes some, 2,3, tries to get in server now, and some never do. 1 friend tried for 3 hrs without success. I don.t believe any thing server side has changed, (1gig down 20MP up ip service). I will attach server logs a couple tracks and the mission file. Thank you for any suggestions. So I did complete reinstall . I tried new mission in caucus, with the same results. * I lowered screen resolution to 2700x1600 from original ( for last several years) 4800x2560. This allowed the editor to open warehouse info.without crashing... That tells me DCS install probably OK but I have a video issue I'm not sure how to resolve,, short of a clean Windows install.. Any advice ? before I take that plunge ?? thanks again

How to Remove Caucas Terrain? As previously stated, this is happening in ALL theaters/Terrains. I will remove and reinstall,Nevada-Normandy & Persian Gulf as advised... No Joy Did as instructed, ran cleanup thru command prompt did a repair, restart and still same results. This is all air ports in Persian and all that I tried in Caucus. c++ install fail...another version already installed... this is the only time the P G map crash's' for me,(in Editor when clickin on the info tab,, seems odd that a c++ problem would allow all other aspects to function.. More Info.. just tried to access info tab in a caucus mission, Same Results, CRASHED so problem prob on my end...I'm showing C++ 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 & 2017 all as being installed. Same here yes,,, same lock up loading into editor as in multi-play.
