  1. love the stall buffet but can't here any vibration in the p51. would be a great warning when dogfighting. with sound could fly closer to stall on turns or slow flight.
  2. I would love to see numerous ww2 airplanes as complexly modeled as the p51d with a few ww2 maps. ED would have an unequaled ww2 sim.
  3. Can't get the rocket firing number selector to work.
  4. I too see yaw and pitch instability at slow speeds. I think really up to 200 mph and still quite a bit of nose wagging at higher speeds. It makes dogfighting challenging. I only notice the pitch oscillation with flaps. The solution is to move the controls very slowly.
  5. I get through mission 14 and am sent back to mission 13 which is a hard one with AA. Am interested to see what the rest of the missions are like.
  6. I adjusted the curve on pitch and rudder and it made a lot of difference in curing twitch, and made it fly generally better in my opinion. I still feel it's unstable in yaw axis but who cares I love flying this p51. It's a challenge. I also think this sim has the best on ground characteristics of any sim. Compared to fsx or il2 there is a real possibiltiy of ground loop if you don't watch out. It's great. You simply aren't sliding around on the runway like fsx. There is real runway traction.

  8. The pLane is impossibly unstable in yaw axis. At 200 mph it's possible to get the p51 to yaw back forth at an unbelievable angle with it taking quite a while to settle back down. That is serious instability. I think if an airplane could yaw that far at high speeds it would tear itself apart. I have mainly flown a piper cherokee for my nearly 600 hrs. as a private pilot so i don't really know how a p51 flies, but I believe it would have more stability than cherokee 140 especially at high speeds. That said, the p51 is a lot of fun to fly, although I would never get into it in real life.
