FC isn't advised against tactical sized (small) targets. You can lock targets in the right environment (dry air, no obscurants) that exceed the kinematic range of the missile, especially with D, G and K-models. You need to keep your range in the crosscheck if you are shooting from high altitude.

It's almost impossible to refuel above 22,000ft, especially if you have any external stores. The tanker is supposed to be at 200-210KIAS for A-10 refueling. At 25,000ft, that equates to 250-260KTAS, which is pretty fast for a loaded Hog at altitude. You have to use lead pursuit to rejoin on a tanker, otherwise you'll take too long to catch up at any altitude.

Use the AMIL sight when engaging a straight and level target for behind or head on.

I think CM is a 5:1 ratio, not 4:1 as mentioned here.

What good is CCIP if you need to manually enter the winds? The real airplane doesn't need this.
