Hi, everyone.
I'm currently in the market for a new display of some sort, but i'm not sure what would be the best way to go with this. I can spend about $400..$450 if its REALLY worth it.
I currently have a single Gigabyte GTX-970 G1. I've been looking at a few options (1080p, 2k, or 4k resolution), and am looking for some suggestions.
I'm trying to keep a standard of no less than 50-60 fps with everything maxed, but for better resolutions, 40 would probably be somewhat bearable. would this card be able to run 2k at 60 fps? 4k?
Also, I'm very interested in the oculus rift. anyone had experience with this? I've heard mixed messages about it. obviously stereoscopic vision would be amazing, but does the lower resolution really make it unusable for dogfights and such? Also, i read that the consumer version is hitting at winter this year. would it be wise to hold onto my money and just get one of those instead of a new monitor?
thanks for your answers guys. i know i have a lot of questions here. Any info is appreciated!
