It's not exactly a crash, but it's sorta like a crash in that you have to force it to close.
I decided today that I really needed to figure out how to bomb things with ripple fire and decided that the regular old Mk-82 would be perfect to test it out with. Well it turns out that in ripple fire mode (regardless the quantity set to drop) it will freeze your game and force you to ctrl-alt-del out.
The ripple mode I used was single not pairs... forgot to test that one out. I also didn't try pairs, I ran out of free time.
I went and tested a few things out to see what would make it freeze.
I loaded up a custom mission where I had 6 Mk-82s and the rest of my hard points loaded with Mk-82 Airs except for a TGP. My first freeze happened when set to a 3 ripple drop with CCRP and it froze without hearing the first bomb drop.
I managed another two runs, with the same settings, and it froze just after hearing the first bomb drop, didn't get to hear the other two.
Then for testing sake I went and set it to regular single drop and it worked for all my bombs. Then set it to ripple with a drop count of 1 and it froze. I Also tested with CCRP and CCIP and it didn't change anything.
I then tested ripple drop with the Mk-82 Air and they worked perfectly any way I dropped them... except I couldn't hit things but I'm sure that's pilot error...
When I get some more time, hopefully later today, I'm going to goof off with a bunch of other ordinance and I'll see what I can find. Thanks ED for the game, it's amazing.
