  1. Thanks a lot Exorcet. You're talking about CloudAspectThreshold. If I'm right, it represents the time, in seconds, between each clouds movement. If you set it to 60, clouds will move only each minute, which make the things easier for the graphic card. For the benefice of other who would have the same problem than I had, you can see below the modifications that I made to graphics.cfg and that let me have a better frame rate. They have been suggested by isoul in a different discussion. I repeat that I also disable the Windows 7 aero theme before playing, by selecting a theme like high white contrast. I wonder if someone have made a software with an interface that let you change easily the values of the graphics.cfg and options.lua files, without deleting accidentally an important character like ; :v:
  2. Still 512 mb vRAM is enough for only few graphics cards. I wouldn't recommend it for a friend, especially if he can't make the difference between two graphics card name, like G102M and GF8800... Whatever, I have good news. After a search on this forum, I have made some tweaking in the graphics.cfg file and with the Windows 7 Aero theme turn to off, the performance is enough to be able to play, and that's what's important. I'm getting frame rate over 20. :megalol: Bye I'm gone...
  3. EtherealN, do you think that most of the graphic cards with 512Mo would do the job with this game? I understand there are differences between different chipsets, but I find hard to believe that 512 Mo is your (ED) RECOMMENDED settings (where not talking about minimum settings). I think that any player of FC2 would recommend a video card with 1 Go ram. I think ED took the lowest recommended requirements possible to get more buyers. Thought ED is certainly not the only one to do that. Sorry for stating wrongly Ubisoft. I asked to this forum about the requirement before buying. I did that because I have no knowledge about graphic cards. My mistake was to not wait longer for more answers; the first answers told me that I would be ok....
  4. Thank you everyone. I got TM T16000 and I'm very happy
  5. No, I haven't installed Lock On and FC2 in "program files". I installed my software in a different partition: on X: Applications. I also have C: Windows 7 and Y: Data. Settings is lowest possible. Can't put more than 3gb RAM because it's 32bits and of course, can't change the video card since it's laptop.... I wasn't supposed to play game with it... ;) Thanks for trying to help me.
  6. So I can't play Flaming cliffs 2, but maybe could play Flaming cliffs 1? (?) After all, my computer runs Lock On perfectly. Do you think Lock on and Flaming cliffs 1 have similar system requirements? If I can't run Flaming cliffs 2, doesn't that mean I can't run Flaming cliffs 1 too? Despite my search I can't find this information... (Believe me my laptop is very clean!!! ;) )
  7. From what I saw, I'd need a lot more than "no M" on my geforce video card name. I'd need 2 times more power: 1gb video card and 6gb ram This is awfully dishonest to claims that these requirements are recommended! I don't buy often games... Maybe you are a lot more accustomed to that. But when a product doesn't do what it claims, you should get a refund.:mad:
  8. So I now have Flaming Cliffs 2 But, even with the lowest settings possible, it's totally unplayable because the fps rate is extremely low: I'd say I only see 4 images / secondes, especially when I turn. :( I don't understand since I exactly have the recommended system requirements, as you can see below. Asus k50in laptop (jan 2010) Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4300 : 2.1 GHz 1M L2 Cache 800MHz FSB NVIDIA GeForce G102M, with 512MB VRAM RAM: 3 Gb DDR2 800 MHz SDRAM, 2 x SODIMM HD: 320 Gb Display: 15.6" HD (1366x76) Windows 7 sp1 Ubisoft recommends intel core duo, 3gb ram and 512 mb video card. That's exactly what I have.
  9. Thanks a lot  I was about the buy Flaming cliffs 1 and 2...
  10. I wonder if Lock-on and Flaming cliffs are included with Flaming cliffs 2. And also, is Flaming cliffs 1 included in Flaming cliff 2. Do I have to buy those 3? It's not clear to me and I wanted to be sure before buying... Thanks :)
  11. Do you think Flaming cliffs 2 would run so poorly that I shouldn't get it and I should stay with LOMAC? More detail informations: Asus k50in laptop (bought in january 2010) Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4300 : 2.1 GHz 1M L2 Cache 800MHz FSB NVIDIA GeForce G102M, with 512MB VRAM RAM: 3 Gb DDR2 800 MHz SDRAM, 2 x SODIMM HD: 320 Gb Display: 15.6" HD (1366x768) Windows 7 sp1 Thank you... :)
  12. Hello! I currently have LOMAC and it works fine. Based on your experience, do you think my pc could smoothly run Flaming cliffs 2, at least on low settings? I have: Dual core 2.1Ghz (t4300) 3 Go RAM Geforce 512 mo ram (G102M) I meet the requirements but sometimes it's not enough. Thanks! :)
  13. Hi, Which is the best joystick that I can find for about 50$ to 70$? I've used Logitech extreme 3d in the past, and I had to return it 3 times... Thanks! ;)
