Oh phew! I thought I was just blind, but I am having this problem too! Even with labels on it is still tough for me. :/ I am soooo n00by. Though I only use BHOT because I forgot how to switch. x) So that's prolly part of my problem, since I HATE BHOT.

I second this post. I THINK it smooths the edges of objects out. If you notice how the edges of buildings kinda glimmer, I think Antialiasing fixes that. So the higer the number, the more smoothing. DONT take my word on that, that's just what I THINK.

Hey all! I am big into making cinematic short films with video games, and I was wondering: Is it possible to turn labels on or off in the middle of the flight? Like a console command, or a keystroke? I want to do this because I want to find the units I want to film, and then turn off labels to film them. Simple enough, eh?

EDIT - 0utLAW helped me get his working! So A-A is quite fun/easy now! :D (Minus the fact I get ganged up on, and killed everytime)

Yeah... but sadly I cant find I good x52PRO profile that has convient slew controls, and still has all the good stuff on the stick too. It becomes lots to juggle at once. :/

I've just been putting my target right into the middle of the circle, waiting for it to change tone, and locking him up. I am assuming that's the same thing you said, but this "search" function sounds much easier! Just bagged my first Mig 29. Whoop! First A-A kill! :D Mmm, how would I check if this -131 is loaded? I am doing a start on runway style fast mission.

So I've been doing instant actions, but keep getting shot out of the sky by Migs. So I decided to arm myself with AIM9s, and took it back up. I locked on, but when I hit my weapon release button... nothing shoots? So question one - How to fire A-A missile?! Thanks for the help!

Hey all! First off, here is a video of my first x52 PRO flight: --Removed vid, I wana do something else-- ;) Secondly - Here is what I have to say about HOTAS controls for DCS. YOU MUST PLAY IT WITH A HOTAS! Before, I was a HUGE advocate of waiting to see if you enjoy DCS as a whole, but I take that ALL back, and apologize to anyone I advised that on. HOTAS is the ONLY way to play DCS. Before I had a HOTAS, I was struggling to stay on target, and stalling quite a bit due to the clunkly joystick I had before. Now that I have this INSANELY smooth x52, I am deadly accurate, and flying like a pro. I just want to keep flying. Then I tried it with a helo, and was hovering better than ever before. I would say if you do not have a HOTAS, you need one for DCS, NO QUESTION. And if you love these games (study sims) you wont regret it. I went from this - :joystick: To feeling like the A10 was just an extention of myself within 2 mins of plugging it in. I speak miles for it. Now lets just hope it lasts, as I hear they can have some issues. ;) Happy landings all! :pilotfly:

Hey all! I am big into creating Machinimas in video games, and I have an OUTSTANDING idea for a DCS one. Unfortunately, I dont quite know how to work the camera. Does anyone know how? Here's what I know: CTRL+F11 = Free cam Scroll wheel = incremental movement Mouse = view. Here's what I need to know: How to make camera movement slow, and smooth? (slower than using scroll) :helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie: Thanks All! EDIT - Assuming this is going to be moved... apologies to the mods that have to waste their time doing so. :/

So, now that I've learned the A-G weapons, I tried a mission... but now I am having a new issue. What do you use, against what? For those of you familliar, the first mission I tried was the protection of JTAC in a town as enemy convoys rolled up on them. The first two convoys are BMPs. I used guns on both, and then I am out of gun ammo... so do I start dropping bombs, and firing mavs? It all just seems to go away so quickly is my problem here. How do you know what weapons you should be using against what type of enemy? Also, another problem I am having is when I try to select CCIP or CCRP, it says "Invalid Fuzing" What the hell does that mean!? PS: How do you know whether to use CCIP vs CCRP. That's still something I dont quite understand. If CCIP is more accurate, and the dive is not a problem, why not use that every time? Sorry for all the questions, hope someone can clear them up for me! Thanks in advance! -Jet

Yeah, I've not touched the F15 yet, but definitely plan to when I get home tomorrow! I've picked up the A10 pretty quickly! Also, tip for the Huey... START SLOW!!! The second you lift that off the ground, if you aren't ready for it, you are gonna have to really hang on for dear life.

Personally, I've always been skeptical of the OR... This video is from a friend of mine who you all probably know. Anyway, take a look, I think some of you (who have open minds) will really see some valid points.
