Had TrackIR for years... our stories are very similar! I started with FS2004, then moved to FSX with a Saitek Cyborg, moved to a G930 w/ TIR, then sold all of it and got my private pilot's certificate, left FSX for about 2 years while I flew IRL, and recently just came back to the sim world a couple months ago with IL2, re-purchased TIR, and a Saitek Cyborg. At the start of this month, I purchased every single DCS module at once ($200) and now, got myself an x52 Pro!

Guess we're done here...

Hey all! So I finally did it. I vowed to myself that I wouldn't get a HOTAS until I knew I was dedicated to DCS... but alas, I've been without it for two days so far (two more left!) and I've been addicted to videos, and the forum. I figured, that's proof enough that I really want to continue with DCS... and I... I got the x52 PRO with 1 year warentee from New Egg... Wish me luck guys. I will update this post with my thoughts as I start to use it... really hoping I dont regret it. Guess I have 30 days to decide! :pilotfly::joystick: ~Jet

Chances of these two modules? Hey all! First off, this is based on Scarecrow's topic (<-- thread was moved, so scratch that.), I wanted to ask if anyone has some inside info, or maybe knows ED and their thought process to answer these two questions? What do you think the chances are of seeing: DCS: F-16? and DCS: UH60?

That's pretty much what I am hoping for. Good view distance, good smoke trails for driving vehicles, as well as destroyed vehicles, smoke trails from weapons (guns, not missiles) maybe some exaust, etc. Hell, lets just put it on CryEngine3... [/sarcastic] Also... if there is an F16 on the horizon, I think I need to drive my car off a cliff just to make sure I am not dreaming... I would be SOOOO FREAKING HAPPY!

Awww, lame! I didnt know about DCS when A10C Beta came about. Oh well, I'll be buying it (Nevada) anyway. x) Why did they choose Nevada? Anything to do with Nellis AFB? Also, how much do we know about the new map? Will there be... oh, I dont know... Area 51? x)

It also happens if you start spinning out of control... it kinda just slides up, and off and goes on its own adventure as you begin to fall to the ground...

What is this "EDGE" everyone wants? Hey all- No matter what thread I read, there is always 1 post about how excited someone is for "EDGE." Obviously, if I dont know what this is, but everyone is so excited about it, then I am probably missing out on something! So, uh... what is this EDGE thing? Thanks! ~Jet

Other: UH60 with transport missions in and out of hot LZs, Medevacs, and simple troop transports. :)

I am probably one of, if not the biggest, supporter of this idea. I am dying for a high fidelity UH60 Blackhawk and/or CH47 Chinook. Maybe even a Littlebird would be cool, either way, I am dying for this type of module. I really want to be able to insert, and extract units from combat, or even do hot LZs, including medevacs. AH! Just typing it makes me want it SO MUCH!!!

Hey guys! I am wondering if it's possible to fly the AH64/CH47/UH60/F16 in DCS world's current version? I've seen videos of people flying these aircraft, and I would love to. Also, Do they have pits to go with them?

I dont have this problem. For me, the P51 feels 10x better than I thought it would.

I think it's fair to have a bird cripple an engine, they often do. And most two engine craft can make it back to ground with one engine, so it's not like it's an instant "I have to ditch" situation. Personally, if this was really a bird strike, I think it was perfect in terms of how it damaged the aircraft.

Ohhhh! Interesting! Yeah, I would have like to have seen it at least. Even if it just despawned when it hits the fan, it would be nice to actually see, and possibly avoid a flock of Russian Geese! ;) I say it's perfectly modeled... after all: Looks realistic to me! :D
