hi and thanks for you answer :) I got to find out how this works and picked up every dds files from the default livery to make my own :) Best regards,
-
hello, and first and foremost, please excuse my english which is a little rusty :) as a very very beginner on skinning subject, my first try would be to edit the ingame vf-103 liveries. I know some incredible ones already exist, but, meh, you've got to start somewhere. I've no 3D software for now, since I don't know how to operate them, so I'd like to start with only trying to add elements to already existing liveries, such as pilot name and modify modex, if I'm able to. I've already taken care of everything regarding dds files, I can open and save them in Photoshop. Anyway, as stated, I'm trying to edit both vf-103 liveres that are already in game, so after some search, I think I have found where they live (CoreMods/aircraft/F14/Liveries/f-14b), but my issue is that the hiviz contains all the dds files but the lowviz (last ride) does not. There's only a description.lua and ... voilà ! I'm pretty sure that the magic is happening in this very file, but when I open it, there are only 4 lines that seem to refer to the Viggen pilot suit skin. livery = { --Diffuse ----------------------------------- {"LNS_VIG_EXT_FUS_T", 0 ,"F776_VIG_FUSELAGE_T",false}; {"LNS_VIG_EXT_FUS_L", 0 ,"F776_VIG_FUSELAGE_L",false}; {"LNS_VIG_EXT_FUS_R", 0 ,"F776_VIG_FUSELAGE_R",false}; } name = "VF-103 Last Ride" --countries = {"USA", "RUS", "FRA", "UKR", "SPN", "NETH", "TUR", "BEL", "GER", "NOR", "CAN", "DEN", "UK", "GRG", "ISR", "ABH", "RSO"} Well, as you may have now understood I'm totally lost, would there be someone nice enough to point me in the right direction ? Best regards to whoever had read my (too long) post :)

Match F/A-18C and A-10C GPS coordinates systems
John-John replied to John-John's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
This is what I call a clear answer :) Thanks a lot ! I'll look into the Hornet user manual to seek how I can change how my coordinates are displayed and will ask my friend to do the same for his aircraft :) Thanks again ! Best regards, -
hello :) Maybe this has been asked already, but I didn't find any answer to my question. I'm flying on the Hornet and a friend of mine just started flying on the Warthog for a couple days. We've been training with laser sharing throught LSS and it's working flawlessly, but when it's coming to GPS guided bombs, there's no way we can make our GPS coordinates systems match. He has coordinates such as N42°05.419 E043°46.620 and mine are like N42°05'25.1" E43°46'37.2" Is there a way we can share the same coordinates system since we're both flying on US aircrafts or do we have to use an external "convertor" ? Thanks by advance for your inputs :) Best regards,

hi and thanks for your answer ! indeed it seems that reading that feature has made me forget about reading the all introduction text :\ sorry and thanks again :) best regards,

hi, receiving the ED newsletter, I'm glad to notice that a line of sight indicator has been added to the F/A-18C HUD when targeting with the pod. Unfortunately, in game, I haven't noticed any change, no mark on my hud indicating where the pod is aiming. Am I missing something ? Best regards,

hi towsim and thanks for your answer, I'm glad you could confirm the bug we encountered despite that pitiful bug report I wrote ;) And don't be sorry for this issue, my guess is that razbam 2000c seems to be the one which causes it to happen, since no other aircraft we have tested encountered this bug. Moreover, we do enjoy your plug-in which works smoothly and gives us this extra touch of realism we were looking for, so thanks for that and for the huge amount of work it must have requested :)

hi towsim, and thanks for your answer :) we've been conducting the tests you mentionned above and came to the conclusion that we only encountered this bug only with razbam's 2000C and not with the A-10C. After one of us (2000C users) got to retab he would get the combox VHF frequency set to 00.000 in manual mode. When pressing the preset "P" key on the combox, then both UHF and VHF displayed in the aircraft wouldn't be the ones received by TS. For example, if my default VHF and UHF chans on preset 1 were 129.000 and 251.000, TS set me to the 137.000 and 266.000 (which are the default preset 20 freq). Thus I had to select both UHF and VHF default presets "2" to be able to communicate with my friends stayed on default presets "1". This may explain why I was unable to communicate with them after one of us got to retab, simply because I was picking the "wrong" freq presets. On the other hand, I tried to manually switch on my aircraft radio panel (razbam 2000C) the U/VHF manual / preset mode selector to "M" (manual) then back to "P" (preset) then switch to another preset frequency and back to the first one, and I got to communicate successfully with my pals on both VHF and UHF frequencies. Beyond this clumsy bug report, do you need our dcs.log and Aries_Session_Protocol.html (this last file which by the way i do not have, whereas my friends do) to help you to detect what could cause this issue ? Best regards,

hi towsim and first of all, thanks for your radio plug-in ;) been testing it for a while now with some friends, and followed the instructrions stated in the manual, but we're encountering one issue that is quite anoying. If ever one of us gets splashed during the mission and has to retab, he loses the ability to communicate with every other players even if on the same radio chan. Even, when flying again the radio does not get operative. We've been looking into your faq and in the forums, but it seems we're using the plugin as intended. Is there something that could cause this issue to come up and that we may be doing wrong ? The aircrafts we're using are the A-10C and razbam's 2000C. Hoping you can help me figure this out so we can keep up enjoying it :) Thanks by advance;)

hi razo+r and first of all, let me thank you for this amazing conversion of this mod I love :) Ok, now, I'm a complete n00b with making liveries for DCS aircrafts and I may ask something related to the previous question asked by Automan, so sorry about that if it's the case :) Here are my 2 questions : - I own the Razbam M2k-C and i'd love to mix this aircraft fully clickable cockpit to all the AdA Mod M2k-5 MICA missiles and number of missiles slots. Would it be possible, and if it's the case, is this something that someone like me could do by myself ? - For air to ground missions, I'd like to keep Razbam cockpit and bombs (such as mk-82, gbu-12, etc.) but use the AdA Mod M2k-D livery and two-seater 3D model. Same questions, would it be possible to do, and can I do it by myself ? I know these strange mixtures are not realistic (the M2k-C / -D / -5 have different cockpits) but I would really love to use both these awesome mod and module to make something unique for my own gameplay :) I hope you can have a few mins to answer me :) Thanks again for this awesome work ! ok thanks again for the answer :) so it's basically the same process as in FC1 I understand :) but i didn't know that the broken gears couldn't be repaired ^^ I'll have to teach him how to land smoothly :) Thanks again for the help :)
