That is weird. You would think they would program the radio to show whatever frequency is on the channel you select in preset mode. Oh well, maybe the new one coming will do that.

I am trying to get a handle on the UHF radio. When I put it in Preset mode, and choose a frequency, and then lift the cover and push the red button to save it, does the displayed frequency always stay on what I input? For instance, in preset channel 1, I had 251.00. I switched to preset Channel 2, and input 261.00, and clicked the red button to save it. Of course, the display now shows 261.00. However, when I switch back to preset channel 1, it still shows 261.00, not the 251.00 that should be channel 1. The actual frequency is correct, Ithink, as I can talk to whoever is on 251.00, but my display still shows 261.00 on the actual radio. When you switch preset channels, does that display on the radio not change with it?

Ah, it has a 13 mile limit. That is why it didn’t work. I was beyond that. Thank you. This aircraft is amazing!

I am just learning this aircraft. I did a test flight today to test our some of the controls with my Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog setup. According to the manual, if you have the HUD SOI, which I did, you can move the cursor around on you HUD, and ground stabilize it with TMS FWD short. Then it says if you TMS FWD Long, it should make the point that your cursor is at the SPI. It did not. Did I misinterpret what that TMS FWD Long command is supposed to do?

It would be nice to be able to activate NWS and have it remain active until you press that button again. It is a pain to constantly have to hold the switch down. or do you?

What does "giving it a curve" do? I am new at this programming stuff. :unsure:

I have the TM Hotas setup, and finally bought some CH Pro Rudder Pedals. The rudder works great. However, the differential toe brakes not so well. For instance, if I apply them and then release, I can no longer move forward, unless i hit the W key on the keyboard first. Is there some type of interference going on here with a keyboard command? Should I delete the W key command? Anything else I need to program in Options to make them work right?

I now have DCS A-10, the Track IRV, and the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog joystick and throttle. I went into the game, to Options/controllers. I am trying to change the view settings by removing them, as Track IR does that for me. I also changed the trim up, down leftwing and rightwing settings to match the trim hat on the joystick. I then clicked the Save Profile button and named my new profile, and clicked OK. I then closed the DCS game, and reopened it. I went into Options/Controllers, and clicked load profile. I found my previously saved profile from above, and the original default settings are still in there. What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to learn thE start up procedures from cold and dark. On thE nav panel under the UFC, the HARS button is lit. When I try to push the EGI button, it won't engage. I have already started the cud and aligned the system . What am I doing wrong?

One final question, guys. I may have found a bargain on the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog, but it will still eat up my budget. Therefore, I would not be able to afford rudder pedals at this time. Can you use the default Z and X keys for rudder and steering on the groung, until I can afford rudder pedals? Otherwise, I may have to get the Saitek X52 Pro, as it has the twist feature for rudder control.

Do you have to have rudder pedals with the CH joystick, or can the CH joystick function as the rudder as well?

I just bought the dcs a-10. I have a MS Sidewinder joystick. Will that be sufficient to use with this product, or do I need the Thrustmaster Hotas A-10 joystick to use all of this air rafts features? Anyone have the Sidewinder, and does it work well with this product? Really don't have $450 to spend.

My son recently bought the Steam version of DCS A-10 for me as a gift. I read the forums, and therefore, I first downloaded and installed the DCS world (all four files). I then downloaded the A-10 module from the DCS site, and installed it. I then started up the game, and got a screen asking for my key. In input the key from Steam, and it loaded up. I see all the menus. I picked the low texture options, to start, and tried to load up instant action. All I got is a green screen. I had sound, and the red text marking items in the game, but everything else was just a green screen. I then tried the training missions, with same results. I have the Intel I5 computer with 6mb of RAM. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I have dual ATI Radeon HD 5670video cards and am using Crossfire. I am using drivers 8.850.0.0, which ATI says are the latest drivers. What am I doing wrong? Or can my system not handle this? I am running Falcon BMS 4.32 and Microsoft FSX with no problems. Help!
