Hi All, sorry for what might appear a silly question but i am unable to find the training missions...and am having to guide myself from you tube videos, which is not always the easiest thing to do. I must say i do not have the NTTR map,( if training missions are only available there may i BEG you to stop doing it!! The caucases map though old is the generic map available to all.) If i'm being silly and have to install them from somewhere else can someone point me in the right direction!! Many thanks all

Good Evening, Many many Moons ago......when FC3 was called "lOCK ON"(yup, that long ago) i got into a conversation with a very helpful lady called "Kat". She showed me how to change the weapon loadouts on the (then) LockOn aircraft. I had huge fun with a Mig29 and KhL missiles doing single player anti ship missions…. Well, i wanted to try the same thing again now that i've "got back into" DCS ,but, i can't find the relevant listings to see the weapon loadouts. Can anyone give me a hand. Its not that difficult to do if i remember correctly(not all changes work of course) but i would like to go back to my old Mig loadout and give the A10a x4 sidewinders (i'm doing a SP mission with lots of AI helicopters…). My "fear" or rather "worry" is that it is no longer possible...though i WAS looking at the F18 and did see the pylon loadouts so it SHOULD be possible. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks for replying so quickly!! My "stable" versión Works just fine! Looks like i'll just wait until the "new" stable versión comes out, thanks "exorcet" for clearing that up for me! i don't mind at all if alphas and betas don't work! Thanks vrValor, it's a hugely old 19 inch Sony- i've grown very fond of it over the years even if it does weigh a ton!! Thanks again!

Hi all, I'm posting because the more i read the more i'm confused. I installed DCS world some years ago and have had great fun with it, my last buy was the Ka50 in the recent sale-helos are for me! When the "open Beta" came on up for download i downloaded but for some reason it didn't work on my machine,but no problem, it's a beta, and i carried on flying around in my Huey on my "normal" DCS world. Today i downloaded the latest update convinced that this was DCS world 2.0 DEFINITIVE. All happened like clockwork,all went and looked fine until i installed my modules and....got a big black screen when they'd finished installing. Ok, i thought lets look at the fórums to see if anything similar has happened to anyone else. Seems not.But i've got more confused than ever with what i've read. Please help. 1; Is this ultimate versión of DCS World the DEFINITIVE versión or not? In all fairness the icon does still say "OpenBeta", so i think not.Sorry, i mean DCS World 2 by that 2; When the DEFINITIVE versión DOES come out (no rush guys!) will it install over the "openBeta" or the "original" versión. Ie do i just go to play DCS WORLD "original" and the update wizard takes care of the rest or do i need the "openBeta" doublé click on that and the update wizard takes it from there.. 3; If anyone has an idea as to my BigBlackScreen (it doesn't load now) it would be great! PLEASE, this is not a gripe at all if it's still beta,well that's what Betas/Alphas(?) are for, i'm quite happy choppering around in the Huey for the moment on the original versión, there's so much to learn i'm in no rush! By the way, i'm using an I7 with a graphics card to match on performance.The only thing that might cause a hiccup is my PC monitor-it's about 12 years old but runs Arma 3 no problem. Good morning, i've been remembering an excelent misson that appeared in ROF where you had to land your biplane in a field and "rescue" a downed pilot.I've been wondering if this would be possible to "copy" to the DCS list of games.My idea is to fly "escort" in a BS to a "rescue" helicopter who will land next to a "downed" helicopter after i have destroyed a series of AAA sites/vehicles.The "rescue"helicopter will stay on the ground for approx 10 seconds (picking up the pilot)and then fly home with me escorting. As i cannot make head or toe at the moment of "triggers"in the ME can anyone guide me to a thread or a you tube video on triggers.Or if this mission has been done already to where it's been placed! I do apologise for mentioning another flight simulator. Thank you and happy new year!

Hi all,two things, Firstly can anyone tell me where (in DCS WORLD) the screen shots are stored,i must have looked at all the files except the right one! Secondly,any tips on locking up helicopters with vikhers,i'm getting plastered by them.I've seen the video and read the manual but i can't seem to get it to work.Anyone any ideas? Thanks.

hi there, i'm very new to this sim and had the same problem.Pepermint has it right..press f6 and select the missile,remember the r73 has better range and is more agile,then you have to get in close until you get a launch tone..if you get the target in the cross-hairs it helps(increases the detection range)..and fire!!do not hesitate! You will find that the missile will only launch when it has a tone,so don't hesitate,and that tone will come and go especially against an evading target.Helicopters are murder,stay away from them.Supposedly there is a way to lock on to them with Vikhers but try as i might i can't..if you succeed let me know!I even tried locking onto a Hercules and couldn't!! You can go air to air in the SU25 but it's a rather hazardous undertaking i feel!

Ok i have it seems got everything to work now, the problem was that my notes from the training videos were incomplete,i was not puttting the range display circle over the target mark with the vikhr's. A lesson learnt here for when i go to BS,take more time on the training videos. Thank you all.
