  1. Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I noticed all the Vietnam-era aircraft in development, and got REALLY excited. Figured I'd list them here and get a discussion going on future aircraft. F-100D Thud http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=109596 UH-1H Huey http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=263 F-104G Starfighter http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=254 A-7 Corsair II http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=252 MiG-21bis http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=201 Mi-8 Hip http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=279 I also vaguely recall some folks working on an A-4 Skyhawk and an F-4 Phantom. Any rumors?
  2. Anyone mind if I throw a curveball in here? The A-4 Skyhawk One of the sexiest planes to ever fly. Get the F-8, A-7, F-4, Mig-17, and Mig-21 in there, and we have a proper Vietnam sim, gents!
  3. +1 for A-4 Skyhawk. Love this aircraft.
  4. Sorry to bump a dead (?) thread, but I would KILL for a DCS: A-4 Skyhawk
  5. Got some Isopropyl Alcohol. Worked like a charm. That is to say it took the rubber COMPLETELY off, which isn't really a big deal for me.
  6. Any specific suggestions? Also I've heard WD40 and some rubbing alcohol will do the trick
  7. So I bought an X52 off eBay (NEVER AGAIN). When it arrived it had a sticky residue over the rubber bits on the grips. Any tips for cleaning it off? I tried some windex, no effect. I feel like I'd need gloves to use this thing.
  8. Worked like a charm! It's a little twitchy and jerky, is there anything I can do about that in the sensitivity settings? Or is that just a limitation of the software?
  9. I can't get this thing to work. I have the Track Clip Pro and Free Track 2.2. I've downloaded and installed Jacksos101's Headtracker dll ( http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1448435&postcount=68 ), updated the input.lua, have Free Track running in the background, and nothing works. No head movement in any aircraft. I'm kind of lost here. Is there some kind of key combo I'm supposed to press ingame? I thought this was drag, drop, edit, and play?
  10. I for one would hope that for ED developed modules, they adopt a "one for each" approach to aircraft development. They say the next aircraft is an American multi-role? That's fine, then why not make the next aircraft after that a Russian multi-role? After that a NATO air superiority fighter, then an Eastern air superiority. So on....
  11. 1. Have you guys integrated FC3 into your online play? I really love flying the Su-27 and MiG-29, and am looking to learn how to fly them properly, with proper procedures, and most importantly proper comms. 2. Do you guys have a dedicated server, or are your operations entirely event based? I'm looking for a place where I can pop on and try to learn proper formations flying and communication without someone ripping my face off for not being an expert at it. I've only been flying DCS for a few days now, but I'm loving it. Haven't played a sim since F4:AF years ago.
  12. Yeah it was showing up empty until I unchecked the one in the hard drive as a hidden file.
  13. Okay, so, I have no "Documentation" folder? Can't find any manuals in the main DCS folder EDIT: Okay for some stupid reason, the "Doc" folder was checked off as a hidden file, which is probably why it wasn't showing up. Thanks guys!
  14. Having some issues with very BASIC things. I picked up DCS World and FC3 last night, finally got the chance to play today. Got everything set up on my joystick (Logitech Extreme 3d Pro), but can't fire missiles or guns? I understand it's more complicated than "push button, kill russian" but I can't seem to find any information specific to FC3. The A-10 and KA-50 guides all call for clicking switches in the cockpit, which I obviously can't do in the FC3 F-15C. Google has failed me for finding a guide, as has searching the forums. Short question: How do I kill things in FC3? EDIT: Also no training missions for FC3, training missions for SU-25T don't work (click 'start', nothing happens).
