  1. Thanks! So, I'll probably go for a 1070
  2. Hello, I am running DCS since a few years and I have the feeling that the overall performance on my system is worse today than it was 2 years ago. Also, I am having issues with antialiasing and can't get rid of if even if I try to use Nvidia Inspector. I'd like to know which component is the bottleneck in my current system in terms of playing DCS. Does it make sense to change just one part (CPU or GPU) for DCS and if yes, what should I choose to run DCS smoothly without these antialiasing problems and micro stutters. Any help/advice is highly appreciated. My system: i7 3770k ivi bridge @ 4,4mhz (4 cores) EVGA GTX 680 2GB @ 1920 x 1080 / 60hz 16GB RAM 256 GB SSD Samsung Windows 7 Thanks a lot!
  3. Perfect, thank you!
  4. Thanks for reply, however it does not really answer my question. From your answer I understand, that I'm not doing anything wrong but that this is normal, right? So, in such a situation, an approach has do be done using instruments only.
  5. Hello, I'm having issues when landing in bad weather conditions with the M2000C. When choosing the spring/thunderstorm weather preset from the mission editor, the crosswinds seem to be that strong, that all the information on the HUD disappear on either left or right side of the HUD. (however, mostely left) So, I have no chance to perform a safe ILS approach as all the important information like speed, altitude, pitch ladder, brackets and flight path marker, as well as ILS information move to one side until they are not visible anymore. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to bring the information back to the center of the HUD? An ILS approach by using ADI and other instruments only does not seem to be the right way to perform it safely, does it? Thanks a lot for help!
  6. Hi, I tried Dami's Krasnodar mission which is pretty nice. Unfortunately, there are just two to three AI aircrafts flying at the same time, so I wanted to increase the spawn intervall by using the instruction on page one of this thread. "In line 10 the spawnintervall can be set: Code: intervall = math.random(300,900) --(x,y) minimum x seconds, max. y seconds" Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me as new aircrafts are still spawning very slowly (each 10 minutes appr. one aircraft) Could anyone please let me know how I can increase the number of AI aircrafts? Thanks a lot!
  7. Hi, Yesterday I managed to get A10C running absolutely smooth. I can't recognize even a micro stutter which makes me very happy. I needed to minimize some settings (Tree shadows, Water, civil Traffic) in the graphic menu and to turn off the dynamic shadows. Also, I set VSYNC to 1/2 refresh rate using NvidiaInspector and limited the FPS to 30 in the graphics.lua. Everything is absolutely smooth now except the head movements using TrackIR. If I change VSYNC settings from "1/2 Refresh rate" to "Force On" I need to set max. FPS to 60 due to my monitor setup but my rig is not able to achieve 60FPS at any time which results in stutters. However, the head movements are becoming smooth then. So, in essence I was wondering if there is a setting to make the TrackIR movements smoother at limited 30FPS. My PC: i3770k @4,4 - 16GB Ram - GTX680 - SSD
  8. Yes, I set most of the features in the nVidia control panel, like AF, AA etc, due to the fact that I had the feeling that the environment (trees etc.) start flickering too when I don´t set these features. The strange thing is that just the lables are flickering when moving the plane, the rest is fine :( Regarding shadow: What I meant with not sharp was the stairway look of the shadow edges. But this is basically not a problem really ;-)
  9. Hello, I have a problem with the graphic settings in DCS P 51. The graphics in DCS are really great and I didn´t have any problems with DCS world and the SU-25 when testing my system. I have a i73770 oc to 4,4 with a GTX 680. Settings ingame are maxed, res. 1920 x 1080. All graphics are fine in the P51 module except the labels of the instruments on the center bottom and top of the instrument panel. (white letters) Here I have heavy flickering when moving the plane. The closer I get to the labels the less they flicker. I wonder how to solve this problem as the rest of the graphic in- and outside of the cockpit is not flickering at all. The shadows inside of the cockpit are not really sharp too, but I guess that´s normal, isn´t it? Thanks for you advice!!
