  1. :helpsmilie: If I remember correctly I read that you didn't need to purchase this module if you already owned Flaming Cliffs 3. If not can this plane also be flown in DCS 1.5? Never mind, I found this answer: Note: the aircraft model is identical to the Flaming Cliffs 3 module. Owners of FC3 do not need to purchase. Please ignore.
  2. Just used it 30 minutes ago... worked fine.
  3. I never owned a Track Clip due to the horrible reviews, so I had to set up a profile when I first used it, but I had no problems at all & this was pretty much my first profile from scratch. I have done a bit of smoothing & speed changes, but nothing more.:) I merely changed the setting from passive to active on the main screen & changed the default a little. That was it for me.
  4. If you are looking for an excellent replacement for the Pro clip may I suggest the LukeClip Head Motion Tracker. It's only sold on EBay so run a search to find it. I own one, & I can't give this a high enough recommendation. The unit has already survived dropping my headset twice without even batting an eye! I have no doubt that a Pro Clip would have broken the first time. The unit is only about a third of the price compared to the Pro Clip. It is a wireless unit which uses 2 CR 2032 batteries which are supplied. The current unit does not allow recharging but the person who makes these has plans to add this in the future. The batteries are easily replaced & are really cheap if bought in bulk. I found a lot of 100 for the price of 4 sold retail. I've yet to change out the batteries in mine with about 5 hours of use & an unknown amount of time when I forgot to to turn it off. It has a switch to turn it on & off. A 6 foot USB cable is supplied to power the unit without batteries. It is a very small unit, much smaller compared to the Pro Clip, & built like a tank. It mounts to your headset with velcro so it should fit any & all types of headsets. The LED arms are made from aluminium with SMD LED's generating the IR source. I've used mine now for several hours of flight time & I can find absolutely no faults with it. I used to use the visor clip supplied with the TrackIR & I have no plans to ever go back. I've had email conversations with the person who builds these & he is very friendly. The unit is sold from England, & the shipping time for mine was only about a week (I live in the US.) All of this sounds like a blatant advertisement (which it is!), but I think that people should let other folks know when they have found something that replaces an item built with design flaws *cough Pro Clip*. :D If you're in the market looking to upgrade your gear or replace a broken Clip, give this a look on eBay.
  5. Hi all, first post here, please bear with a noob. Win 10 x64, DCS 1.5, Aircraft P-51, Saitek X52 Controller, CH rudder pedals, Instant Action. I am encountering random bugs in certain scenarios. On cold start Vasiani (sp) I can't gain altitude after takeoff. I go up to 500 feet & that's it, after that the plane just won't gain any more altitude. Trimming out is also acting up as the plane refuses to respond to adjustments. Control surfaces are showing movement as does control knobs in the cockpit. This bug is strictly limited to this scenario. In other Instant Action scenarios the problems do not exist. On a previous install, the same scenario exhibited a different bug where I could not retract landing gear. All files pass a repair check so that is not a fix. All control surface configurations have been checked out & no problems are evident there. Short of a clean install (which I REALLY don't want to do since I'm running out on the number of serial number validations I have left) does anyone know how to fix bugs of this nature? I have no problems at all performing a takeoff from Batumi. Trim can be attained without any problem, & the landing gear retracts just fine. I haven't flown any other scenarios so I have no idea if other bugs may be popping up elsewhere. Since I'm fairly new to DCS (maybe 50 hours of flight time) I have no idea what is going on. I've flown on a few servers & seen a few bugs, but with a simple plane reset the bugs disappear (no canopy, brakes not working etc.) I don't think it's my gear since the problems are limited to certain scenarios & do not repeat on others. Is there any method to just overwrite the data/files to any given scenario? If so, this would hopefully eliminate these spurious bugs. Since i'm unfamiliar with file locations & structure, I'd need help identifying where or what to replace/change. Thanks for any help that may be offered in advance & happy flying!:pilotfly:
