I can't give you an exact answer to that. It's kinda a big deal, so need particular care and attention. That and the fact that things that work on one tablet will break on another, so you have to have a variety of devices knocking around, which I don't.
-
There's also another face to this particular problem: Multiplayer. DCS does things sufficiently differently that the whole quit/start procedure requires special attention. Attention it is getting as we speak. :)
-
Yep, that one is already patched in internal builds on this end. As it so happens I am, right at this moment, in the middle of getting rid of the double-touch issue for all displays.
-
That's the next big development that we have scheduled. Believe it or not, it was one of the earliest technological hurdles we crossed back in 2014, yet demand is such that other things needed to be completed ahead of network functionality, particularly due to uncertainty regarding DCS 1.5+ DirectX11 rendering etc. Obviously I want to measure twice and cut once regarding this feature, so the net code will work with Windows, Android and IOS. --Baker

Just for clarity, the most recent advance (pictured above) covers Su-25T, Su-27, Su-33, Mig-29A/G/S and F-15C.
-
Yep - getting around to them.

NOTICE: If you downloaded the 2.6.2 beta prior to the time of this message, and it crashes on launch, it's a test. Only kidding. I messed up and one essential file escaped from the download zip and made off in to the distance. Now fixed, so please re-download if this silly error on my part affected you. --Baker

I'm getting around to that. As it so happens the HUGE FPS bug solved in the latest beta was something of an impediment. I can't charge money for something I know is broken. And lawyers and security certificates and such fun and games... :)
-
OK folks, here's UltraMFCD 2.6.2. This should solve the "60% crash" and also provide a massive FPS boost to the exported displays. http://ultramfcd.com/Downloads/UltraMFCD.Beta.2.6.2.zip Let me know how it goes, as I'm keen to close off this branch of development and get on with adding new aircraft. --Baker

Incidentally, this all came to light as a result of preparing uMFCD for inclusion of FC3 aircraft, M2000, Viggen and others. So yes, non-A-10C people, it is happening! :)

For the technically inclined, it has to do with preventing uMFCD reading from DCS's memory until DCS has finished rendering any given frame. The code that runs inside DCS is doing all this very elegantly. The message that said code issues to tell the front end that data is ready is simply going missing most of the time. Stupid computers.

Well here's how it stands at the moment: I managed to finally coax my workstation in to producing the infamous "black screens"/not-updating situation. FINALLY! However, this has opened a whole can of worms. Turns out some pieces of code that were supposed to be signalling other pieces of code have been sitting there doing nothing, despite my following the instructions to the letter. The grand irony is that the faster your PC, the more likely it is to become a problem. I already have a workaround (ironically using a technique that was at the core of uMFCD for DCS 1.2.x) and uMFCD framerates have suddenly lept up significantly. Months and months of wondering why new-uMFCD was inexplicably jerky FPS-wise! :D It's is somewhat late in the day to implement this sensibly, so will know/do/fix more tomorrow. --Baker

Hey Majapahit, I moved some things around in the code. Would you mind giving this version a try: http://ultramfcd.com/Downloads/UltraMFCD.Beta.2.6.1.zip Cheers, Baker

OK. Go in to the uMFCD settings screen and choose the appropriate version of DCS in "DCS vers override".

Again, latest UltraMFCD (2.6) with new CDU (pictured) available at the beta section of our forum

As far as I'm aware the last MAJOR update for Win7 was released in early 2016, so you're probably getting 1000s of updates rolled in to a more convenient 12. :)
-
Just to check, are you certain that your Windows install is completely up-to-date with the latest service packs and updates etc? --Baker

Roger that. Now a whole load of housekeeping has been performed, we're back to chasing these obscure bugs. The diagnostics output can be generated by following the instructions here. Edit: This has given me a lead to chase regarding this error. --Baker

Hello folks, Might I draw your attention to the latest version of UltraMFCD: http://forum.ultramfcd.com/posts/m250-UltraMFCD-2-6-0-Beta#post250 Contains the new CDU, bugfixes and other things. --Baker

Well... I've been as butter-fingered as I can with the new stuff and no stuck keys as of yesterday. Will do more testing, since it's a stupid problem that shouldn't have existed in the first place. :)
-
Was actually going to get in touch with you specifically regarding this. May be solved once and for all in next build. Spent half of yesterday specifically attempting to break the click/touch elements of the new CDU. Seems (after a few minor updates and "doh" moments) to be working relatively solidly. Also addresses the "stuck key" issue, which I think was another you reported, no? --Baker

I concur. IR imaging is essential to any modern military sim.
