  1. It's still 50/50 as to whether ED/DCS is actually psychotic. Not at all enjoyable.
  2. There's no reason to keep jamming hours and hours in to this, is there? Except for being "inside".
  3. As it presently stands in DCS, most bombs cannot be "lofted" to their target. However the F/A-18 calculates for it.
  4. In the real F/A-18C Lot 20, the pickle ring really is a pickle ring.
  5. So, just to be absolutely clear, I was asking about the datum of the F-18's display cross?!?
  6. "if there's a failure in the release cue calculation inside the computer, the error will appear universally." I'm sorry what?
  7. Anything I can do to satisfy you?
  8. Is there any solution to this online debate?
  9. Or to put it another way still: If the weapons release cues in the HUD do not agree with the weapons release cues in other systems, one has no choice but to declare the mission a failure on technical grounds and return to base.
  10. Pull the other one. It has bells. They all have to agree with each other. We can engage in a massive argument about this, I suppose, or you could be the person saying "they should shoot before they come through the door as opposed to seeing you with a weapon".
  11. OK. Let's explain it differently. You're in the F/A-18C Lot 20 and you're planning to release some bomb at maximum range. You glance down quickly at the SA display and your aircraft's cross is within the MAX circle. You pickle. Only then to you glace to the right of your HUD to discover that you're still 19s from MAX release at M0.98. You panic. You've just bombed the wrong place.
  12. No probs. Carry on as you were. ED's problem, not mine.
  13. So at 160nm map scale how does one determine whether the aircraft is violating another country's airspace? Guesswork? I only ask on account of having worked for NATO in, would you believe it, the field of advanced/novel display technology.
  14. How about you just fix reported bugs, eh, buddy?
  15. P.S. Was being silly. Glad you're back, too.
  16. Whatever kneeboard images are placed either in the master folder or aircraft-specific folders should show up in the uMFCD kneeboard. There are so many that I'm considering a search function of some description. A royal tit around to find the chart for the airport you're landing at in three minutes time.
  17. F/A 18's aircraft "cross" is rendered further north than it should be. Surely it should be like this:
  18. Move along. Nothing to see here.
  19. Not suggesting that there might be bugs, but, you know. There might be bugs.
  20. When the F/A-18's EW page is in OFFSET mode it has a habit of swapping received warnings for those of friendly units.
  21. Aaaaand with latest update (2020-03-03) to DCS Open Beta everything is working perfectly again with zero changes on this end. Sometimes doing nothing is more effective than the plethora of alternatives. :pilotfly:
  22. Og også snakker Norsk.
  23. I had an Airfix model of the Viggen, back in the day.
