Since I will be giving the 8350/fx990 rev.2 to my wife after the hospital stay, I want to go Intel. Which gives me shudders since I have been a amd man since I started using computers, and then building em. I know NOTHING of intel. I hear intel is coming out with haswell. Money is no issue to a point. Prob. go the I7 way, but know NOTHING of mobo's that will go with it. Any help/links would be useful. TIA wd

Well, just recieved the sabertooth 990 fx rev.2 board and the 8350 proc. Will be using it till I get out of the hospital mid may. Then rebuild using the ivy. Momma will get this machine, seeing how she wont be doing DCS.

Having problems with my sabertooth 990fx rev.1 with trying to update the bios. The p.o.s. won't let me do it. So now I am looking to rebuild. I have been a amd man from the beginning, but looks like I will have to go the Intel route. So, tell me what I need. Wait for the haswell chips to come out in a month or so? Or go the I7 route now?

You used Direct X twice. I think you meant the second time as DX

To me DX is a driver for vid cards, like dx 11

Yeah I knew coming in the learning curve was steep, with many weeks of just learning to take off and fly the damn thing. I read where flaming cliffs was a lot less of a learning curve, but why start at the bottom, when you can start at the top!...LOLOL

Hell I aint even loaded the game yet. Fixing to install the second monitor which is touch screen. Then the trackIR. Then try to get thru the manuel. Sux to be a newbie!

Once again, newbie question. As usual, I have done a search here. Looked in the A10 manual, both the tm manuals, and NO expanation of what SLEW is, and how it werks, whats it good for. It seems like you come to these forums, and SO MUCH stuff is expected of you knowing. No glossary, just acronyms in the back of the manual, with NO index. Amazing.

I have the tm user manual, and the script editor manual. I have looked in the A-10c user manual. And I can find NO explaination of this. Maybe I should of posted this in my Newbie....bet you guys are tired of us thread! But I see alot of conversation of them. Is there a thread I missed that the search editor didn't find? TIA WD

Crap....they have a new Asus sabertooth Gen 3/ rev.2 board out. Then put the FX 8350 in it. I see a upgrade coming before I even get this up and running.....lolol

I have two vid cards in crossfire. And I just bought a touch screen monitor for two monitors. Do I hook each monitor to each vid card?

What IS Dx?
