Thank you chrisofsweden for this instruction. It worked like a charm to convert my DCS World to the Open Beta so that I can fly the new A-10C II. When the new patch for the stable version is issued, I have confidence that I can revert to it using "DCS_updater.exe update @release" Your information has been most helpful and is greatly appreciated. (I just wish that this information was printed with the A-10C II in the DCS store. It would have saved a lot of headaches.)

OK. Just answered my own question. I just found where the Open Beta stuff is: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/server_beta/ I'm downloading it now to a new SSD drive I got for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Hoping my A-10C II will fly smooth as butter on the Open Beta version. I will let you know how it went.

Ditto for me. I don't know how to switch to "Open Beta" either and so I cannot fly the A-10C II that I just bought. So please advise us how to switch to Open Beta. Thank you for cooperating with us.
