  1. Great work! I´ve flown two missions so far. I must commend you on your way of making missions. Great immersion, I really feel for the guy on the ground... Keep up the good work, I shall be watching you closely . Anything more in the pipline? In the meantime, I´ll savour the last two missions. BR Bandit
  2. How about: TAS = IAS * [1 + (Altitude/1000 * .02)] Altitude in feet Or, TAS = IAS + 2% per 1000' altitude. BR Bandit
  3. Solved the problem by reinstalling everything again. This time I did not install "icontrol DCS" and that seemed to fix it. Strange thing is that on my other computer, TARS lives happily with icontrolDCS...
  4. I have checked the network.cfg settings. They show "allow_object_export = true", I do not see a "allow_export" entry in the network.cfg file... I have tried hosting a game, and joining games with the same result. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything, including DCS and TARS/teamspeak. What are the files TARS/Teamspeak use? I have tried comparing mine to files from People where TARS Works, and have so far come up With carbon copies to mine... BR Banditman
  5. TARS 1.0.2b3 problem - New install Hi! I have with little success tried to get TARS running after installing DCS world, teamspeak 3 and TARS on a new computer. Everything in the TARS controlpanel is green and TARS is not on STBY. (ie. installed, and showing the correct Version). In teamspeak I have the TARS plugin enabled. When entering the game, I get "TARS not running" when I click on my user in teamspeak, the other users show "TARS ver 1.0.2b3 running" These are two logs from TARS: tars-plugin.log: Any suggestions?
  6. Jaccorn! I too have flown many different aircraft. From ultralights to aircraft where you have to append "heavy" to the end of your callsign. A 172 behaves differently when it is at its max wt. compared to when it is light. Same with larger A/C. Just a few days ago I ferried a heavy on a short 50 min flight. We climbed to 40000 feet in just 16 min. Same A/C could take 35 mins to reach just 34000 when loaded... Handlingwise it is very different at differing weights (Actually, it handles better at heavier weights!) The first thing I look for in a flightsim is flight fidelity, and I feel this sim has just that... One of the first things I try is a stall. If it can handle that, my interest is sparked... I find that energy management is an important key to operating the A-10 in a hostile envirorment when heavily loaded. If I have a high energy level I can manouver more aggressive, with higher g-loads, than at a lower state. I also suspect that most operate the A-10 in the game with more weight on the A/C than is done in real life... I have never flown the real Warthog, so I couldn't say whether the the simulator is an exact copy of the real beast. It most probably isn't, but then neither are the sims I get to be tested in every six months.(They are pretty close, though) All in all I am very happy with the DCS series and look forward to my next sortie... I hope you'll get your problems sorted, maybe we'll meet in a stall over Sochi one day... Br Bandiman
