  1. For the record I love the MiG-29 and rather have it than the F/A-18E OR the weak lame assed rustbucket F-14x with the vaunted (but locked down in storage for 15 years and hardly maintained) Aim-54x. Take your stupid somewhere else. Don't infect the rest of the forum members with it.

So lets compare the MiG-29 to the F-14 than. Uh the mig is like double the maintanence time and cost of the tomcat, can only carry 6 weapons/1 tank or 4 weapons/3 tanks, and can only travel 300 miles and then land to refuel. there its finished.:megalol: theres nothing about a mig that makes it a great jet. Dont get me wrong, I like it and fly it on lomac some times but theres not much about it to make it interesting...just the little so called cobra menuver...

  2. im lying alright... i ordered that copy like 5 months ago! i saw the movie and got the free one AFTER i ordered it online. I worded that wrong and i editted one post but i guess it didnt save. I just stated i havent gotten the one that i ordered...i got the free one a few weeks ago. i might just give the one i bought to my cousin.

I just see the movie and it is beautiful, the real deal, about two navy fighter pilots, a man and a woman who fly the F-14 TomCat, they both have an amazing story on how they became pilots and i am not going to say anything more but GO SEE THE MOVIE !

guess what. saw it before anybody else has :D. VF-31 and VF-213(the squadrons featured in S&A) invited me to their private screening of it!!! and now i have had my movie copy for a number of weeks now:D

Anyways, thx for posting the stuff. Great last video of the Naval Legend:smilewink:

  4. Dont forget that the Tomcat is so fast it can circle the globe and shoot itself in the ass. Thats how that one Tomcat exploded in mid-air that looked like it just blew up.

How many times do i seriously gotta tell you that you need:helpsmilie::helpsmilie:!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously somebody does not know much about engines and when something unknown gets blown into them it is a really big problem. Even with a crappy little bug or I mean MIG, the engine will still blow up if something entered/got stuck in it.

  5. The cat is retired and in the bone yard. But to some countries like Iran the spoils of aircraft parts are very valueble. So the question has risen among DOD should the U.S. sell the surplus of parts? Why is there such a debate over an outdated piece of machinery?

    I dont get it.

My answer. The IRIAF loves their tomcats and the US Navy hates them. Thats why they are trying to smuggle the parts.

    F-14 1 flight hour = 50+ maintenance hours

    F/A-18C/D/E/F/soon G 1 flight hour = <15 maintenance hours

Not true! for every flight hour its 20-25. The F/A-18E/F is 10-15 hours.

I asked some of the guys of VF-31 and VF-213 at Oceana last year and they said they averaged about 5-10 hours per jet on their last cruise......beat that hornet!

  6. There are still some people on hyperlobby that play USAF. Man like 4 years ago I always flew with a guy over in Israel on Gamespy and we kicked each others butts with the F-22 lol. Right now my cousin is using it for his computer but I want it back:). Oh yeah, if you guys ever want to fly it again, I can send you the update for it!

  7. Yes. he does know and we HAVE talked about it. now I would like for this whole convo to stop cause its got nothing to do with the advertising of a new video GA and I are going to be working on! All I wanted was to post the title page and have everybody just be like Oh i cant wait till its released and everything....instead I get crap about the new F-14 model and other stuff off topic.

  8. Ok, how about this. You all cut it out or we wont do any of this at all, including the release the new model if it gets on Gys's and my nerves any more. We are doing this for everybodys benefit on here just to have fun and enjoy the stuff we put out for others to use or watch. If this stuff continues, we will drop all of the stuff and forget about it!

Yeah he doesnt feel like having this stuff go on either. If you want or would like something, be patient and wait till the projects are finished, until then be quiet and appriciate the work we are going to try and put into all of this!

  9. What a cheek......... trying to claim a model that he has not contributed to.

what? I am not claiming it as my own because it ISNT. I am very thankful that Gys is putting his time into the great project. I only said that because I spoke to him and asked that he/we can release the whole model publically once it was fully finished and ready!

I also note that AMRAAM has not confirmed this "video project". Is this also just another figment of Corsairs childish imagination?

Uhh yeah we have spoken about the movie because it was even his idea that he wanted to make a new Tomcat Tribute. So yes we thought of titles and Tomcat Sunset was pretty appropriate because that is what it really was called and it sounds good for a video. Also, I would like to know where you found that out because I am just curious.

  10. Um, carrier landings are characterized as a 'controlled crash' specifically due to the high sink rates.

This is also why naval aircraft have heavier/bulkier landing gear.

And its also why you can't land land-based aircraft on a carrier just by sticking a hook on the tail.

Why does everything on here have to get soo technical and exact from everybody? All I did was say the correct way of how a carrier landing normally is and how it should be done on LOMAC. Instead I get a response clarifying the role of sink rates...

  11. first all....you are landing to hard. ever seening a video of an F-14 land on a deck inside the cockpit? he doesnt have any sinkrate, he just glides over the wires low enough so they catch. yes it normally looks like your going to slam the deck but no it wont happen unless you know how to fly softly:).

P.S.- first just try landing with full flap, no weapons, and 40% fuel to get the gist of it all, then start adding weight once you get better :). Thats what I tell my guys once they first started!

  12. sweet you work at NASA! muhaha, so where are the little remote controls to manage the space shuttle :D....I been to that room before :)

Edit- EWWW ITS GRAYWO1F!!!! hehe we hit Submit the same time!
