  1. Nice presentation. I'm also of the opinion of limiting the NVG FOV. Which option does Eagle Dynamics feel is easiest to implement? Which is "safest"?
  2. DCS Free Map II TAIWAN Formosa (Taiwan) Air Battle 1944 - (IJN vs USN Third Fleet) Taiwan Strait Crisis 1958 - (F-86 vs MiG-15) Modern Phase I - (PLAAF vs F-5, Mirage, F-16) Modern Phase II - (PLA Navy vs USAF/USN/USMC)
  3. Igor Tishin 1961 - 2018 May your leader's passing always guide you to the value of a friend. R.I.P.
  4. Upon the release the (2.5) Caucasus terrain there are numerous towns and settlements along the Inguri River between ZUGDIDI and DZHVARI that are completely missing. The name of the towns are on the F10 map but no buildings are present. I'm wondering if these towns will be revised back into reality, or, if there are no plans to modify this aspect in the future.
  5. Electronic Warfare Thank-you for the feedback. SDsc0rch...well done. I'll read the PDF. Would tapering the radius of the SAM systems be an example of "showing" the players the effects of this particular subject?
  6. I was wondering how Electronic Warfare would effect a multiplayer environment of (30) players in DCS in a conflict involving Russia and the United States? I've read that the USAF has the EC-130H Compass Call to disrupt communication and the USMC would have the EA-6B Prowler to jam radar sites and air defenses. Can anyone provide a hypothetical synopsis of what would occur? Would the latter subject affect the fighter-vs-fighter aspect of things? What kind of equipment would the Russian military utilize? I see that we have two objects for Russian forces but I'm not really certain what they do. ~S~
  7. I have a question regarding infantry. Like most objects there appears to be two different types. Static. Active. I'm wondering if someone could quantify how much more it "costs" in terms of resources when selecting an active infantry object over one that is static? This is beneficial when designing multi-player missions that offer the Combined Arms component in the (800-1,200) object range. In addition, after hearing about the "skeletal animations" I was wondering if there were plans to include some additional infantry. Currently, I'm using Insurgents for Abkhazian and South Ossetian forces. The Georgian infantry is identical to the Insurgent infantry. The American infantry have no anti-tank capability so I'm using the Georgian/Insurgent RPG object. The static Russian Infantry is selectable in the Mission Editor, however, it does not appear in the actual mission when played. In essence, it disappears. Thanks for your continued efforts with the Combined Arms product. I'm glad to hear that you continue to refine and polish this module and look forward to any news, updates, and future endeavors from the EAGLE DYNAMICS team.
  8. I was wondering what will happen to pre-existing missions that have been created IF the Black Sea Map is converted to the EDGE product? Will our missions still work? I really don't want to work on things now if they won't be compatible in the near future. ~S~
  9. I just downloaded VERSION [1.2.4.12179] and it seems to have rectified this above-mentioned issue. Thank you Eagle Dynamics. ~S~
  10. I don't have any prior experience with modern armor simulations and was wondering if the "COMPUTE FIRING SOLUTIONS" in COMBINED ARMS is a realistic setting? Do modern tanks have this, or, is it something that has been added to make the game "easier"? I look forward to your response and appreciate your efforts.
  11. I updated to to VERSION [1.2.4.11855] and many of the objects that I have in my created missions are now aligned incorrectly. Is this something that will be rectified, or, are these missions "corrupted" and "ruined". I look forward to your response and appreciate your efforts.
