  1. Hey everyone, im trying to sell my Alienware desktop. Its got a i7 processor Nvidia 550 ti video card 16 GB ram If anyone is interested or wants more info PM me Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the response! Right now Im doing panels with low switch/output counts due to the limitations of my boards, which I'm working hard to overcome. Im using the arduino uno board and I'm trying to work out a code for a switch matrix. If i could work our a matrix for LEDs i could put together boards for the caution panel! Thanks again for the response and sorry it took so long for me to respond.
  3. I have worked out the sketches for a few panels, and can perfect most of them (cant do servos yet...) so if your interested, I can sell the boards with sketches pre-loaded and ready to hook up and program with helios via EOS bus. If you need additional information please PM me! Im thinking $25 a board
  4. Well, I priced everything as close to at cost as possible, switches/pot at $3 a piece, acrylic at about $10 including paint and labels. The only thing i need to test is the arduino board, I found a place i can buy one for around $10, but I need to test them. So the only thing you would need to do is plug it in and assign the switches and stuff with helios.
  5. Awesome, I have been thinking about a price all morning and have figured it up to about $40 for the SAS panel, that would be really close to everything at cost. And given a place I can get parts cheaper I will make them cheaper. Thanks
  6. I am currently perfecting some panels that are running off of the arduino boards, is anyone interested in these? They are made of acrylic and are all made to the same scale. I can also do custom panels, like a simplified version with only commonly used controls. Let me know if there is an interest! Thanks!
  7. Well, i got bored and took some pictures lol... Here is the start of the left panel, with the unpainted acrylic SAS panel on the bottom. Close up of the right panel, with added CDU buttons. Working HUD!!!!!! (Most awesome and finicky achievement yet) Close up of front panel, and placement of monitors. Landing gear lever switch in the up position. And the down position.
  8. I could give you my dimensions if you want, I got mine from i think dimebugs. Yup im using 2 monitors attached to the back of the panel, and using the awesome Helios software for the gauges and switch scripting.
  9. Here are some more pics of the pit i took about a month ago, will post more updated ones soon.
  10. You could scavenge one from a cheap stick, thats what ive done in the past.
  11. Awesome! Thanks for the quick response, im about to be a daddy too so im trying to get as much accomplished before i have no time lol!
  12. Do you have a sketch or example for multiple LEDs, or using servos/steppers? Ive been messing with it all night and only frustrated myself lol. Oh, while im asking, any help with linking boards together would be helpful, like what chips to use and what arduino board to use as a master (im assuming the leonardo) Thanks for any help!!
  13. Well this is a long time coming, but this is my pit. Alot of credit goes to a few of the posters on this forum (too many to remember). Ill post some more pictures and details to come.
  14. So i followed your tutorial, and i had no sucsess with getting helios to see my board... (i have a Mega2560 board) im sure the problem is on my end but i cant figure it out, Thanks guys!
  15. Thank You! Im stoked you have posted the new stuff!! Ill be figuring it out tonight!
  16. Has there been any breakthroughs with the Arduino-DCS link??
  17. Ok, thanks all, ill stick with the preflight check of all my switches :) and yes, I love the ugly duckling ;)
  18. Ive got that, i should have looked at my question before posting it, what i am looking for is a way to have my physical switches set to on or off and be able to start a mission and the sim "reads" which switches are on or off and syncs the cockpit to my panels. I hope this makes sense this time :) So it acts like the menu option "sync hotas controls at mission start"
  19. When it comes to lua editing, im still a little lost in the sauce... ive been fiddling with it for a couple weeks and have only gotten the on/off switches to sync, not the 3 way or rotary switches.
