Combined Development Update - November 1, 2013
Furbs replied to luthier1's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Very nice update Luthier! those pits look just fantastic. A comunity manager is a very good idea, its not your strong point shall we say... Though if you keep putting out updates like that, i cant see many people complaining anymore. -
Tasty!..

Normandy Development Update - October 16, 2013
Furbs replied to luthier1's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Like it, really good for this early, lots of possibilities. -
Sorry David, distance is very important for leading shots, in fact all 3 are just as important, mess up one of the 3 and you will miss, unless very close, less than 50yrds. I always found practice and feel make for good lead shooting, its very rare i had time to line up a target in the sights and calculate anything, unless it was a nice clean bounce and if that happened i just got very close before firing. Flying manly german aircraft i don't do much tracking lead shooting, its more about bouncing and placing my aircraft where the target will be flying into my sights and then its all in the timing.

DCS WWII: Europe 1944: Kickstarter Video 7: Making it Work
Furbs replied to luthier1's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Interesting video Luthier, thank you. A little unsure on the MP part though, what are the MP features your hoping to have at release? Are we talking dedi servers or coop missions or both and for what sort of numbers? I know its early, just wondered what features you think will make the release and what may come later. -
Well they must be working very closely with ED(?) i would imagine to get whats needed, this must already be planned out after listening to Luthier, i wouldn't worry too much yet, very early days.
-
So RRG cant just make thier own dedi server/client MP from scratch just for DCS44?
-
Luthier has said Oleg has big plans for MP, i look forward to hearing about them.

The Battle of the Stretch Goal, Part II - Changes!
Furbs replied to luthier1's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I like the changes, im in. please no more though. -
That would have to be $500 for a series of books from series of people, even then it would mostly likely be 90% fiction from each author. You think autobiographies are the truth? ;) I would buy you a pie and a pint though and listen to your side if your ever in the UK again Luthier, you look like you could do with both, well maybe not the pie. :) I hope you get all this sorted, and get to make your own sim, the way you want. Good luck from me Luthier.

If it was me i would of... Announced the KS at the same time with the same opening, but not started the actual funding for the KS for another month, then during this month i would of ran polls to ask what planes interest the most people and get a top 5 not including the p51 and the 190 and just kept working on the map, models, answering questions on the forums and making some videos...spreading the word. Then launched the KS with base game - Map, MP, Single player campaigns and 3 planes, the P51, 190D and the Spit IX for 40$ then added planes in stretch goals for higher pledges in line with the top 5 planes in the poll, forget the t-shirts manuals and the other fluff. kept it simple for the first year and then build from there. But easy for me to say i guess and there may of been other factors involved.
